Cutting out internet ay..well seeing as I JUST GOT BROADBAND about 2 hrs ago i'm not overly prepared for that one. Broadband is the shiz

I could definately cut back on other stuff though.

I can't see why your Mum is complaining. B is a pretty good grade. Ever since I started playing footbag and guitar my grades have dropped.

Dude, i've done the school system and this is how it works:

It does'nt matter what marks you get so long as you pass and get the grades you need to go to uni.

However, what is important, is listening in class and understanding as much as you can. I was told that 6th form is a holiday pretty much and marks don't count for crap, and because I mucked round and did NO work, I was not able to get into calculus in 7th form (did'nt know 6th form maths well enough) and I failed my first year maths paper which I NEED for my degree I am resitting it now (for another $500

). So I waste $500 and will have a really hard time understanding this paper, simply because I mucked round in highschool 3 years ago...

That said, you also need to take advantage of your youth and have fun (ie footbag) as much as you can! Your only young once!

Umm... I'm hoping form does not = grade. I thought I was smart at math, but calculus in 7th grade??!!?!?!

Can you explain to the ignorant American (me) what a form is?

After reading all of these tips, I don't really have much to say, because everything I'd say has been said. To me, school is the number one priority, but like everyone said, you got time for an hour or so of a sport (footbag) after school. As far as getting A's, do minimum or decent effort to reach A's. I don't know how easy school is to you, but I easily got A's if I did my work, including homework (sometimes that is what kills a grade), and studied some a night or two before a test. And I still had time to play volleyball and footbag and do other things after that. I didn't stuff my face in any book and devote ALL of my time to school and have no other life like some kids do/did. It will pay off if you plan on going to college after this. I barely spent a penny my first year at college because of a couple scholarships I earned from academically succeeding in high school. It will also help you get accepted into nice schools and good jobs with higher grades and honors.

I voted for better grades, but if I could I'd probably change my vote.

Everyone on here is right about the time management stuff, and so is everyone else who agreed with everyone else about the time management stuff. But if I were to choose, I would probably do something I enjoy than study for school or whatever. Shit, I find it more fruitful for my mind to watch Seinfeld re-runs that I've seen atleast 10 times as opposed to studying for a Geometry final.

A's will give you better opportunities at qualifying for grants and scholarships (if that's what you're aiming towards). I'd definitely try to get good grades while leaving time for shred of course.

Woh, so many replies, so many tips!!!

Thanks everybody for your input. I have been away from school this whole week because I am sick. In turn I missed 2 exams and important info on assignments AND I got a new maths teacher

. On the other hand, I got broadband and I have d.l.ed about 2 gig of vids while I have been sick.
I am gonna have so much work to catch up on.

Even though marks may not necesarily determine how smart you are, Colleges still look at them and form their opinion of you. I believe that you are perfectly capable to work harder in school, and play just as much footbag as you do. Just pay close attention while your in school, and work hard while "Your In" school. Maybe spend some time at home. But im sure a half hour a night or so won't take away from your footbag career

I spent a lot of my time in highschool just smoking doobies and hacking in a kick circle. Now I don't encourage smoking doobies, because that's a decision for anybody to make themselves, but honestly, you shouldn't worry about spending a lot of time playing footbag during highschool. Especially not during grade 9. Now is the time when you have piles of free time to do this stuff, if you ask me. I only started getting into footbag recently, and I wish I had've gotten into it when I didn't have to have a job, etc. etc. etc. Do it! As far as your grades are concerned, as long as you acknowledge that school does exist, attend your classes and try to somewhat keep up as far as homework is concerned, you'll be fine. I slacked my way through highschool and I'm still going to college.

EDIT: I dunno if any of that made sense.
