yeah the snow didn't really settle here so I guess I'll have to wait another 20 years to see Hobart actually covered in snow. It was cool to look outside and see the snow coming down though. I haven't seen it snow in something like 10 years or so it was very cool

My new material arrived and my new filler is arriving on Saturday. I now have like 16 different colours so people can order bags in whatever colours they want (well close enough ). I will also be getting 10kg of metal filler - so that should last be some time (about 200-250 bags I estimate)
Finally I'm reading "The life of Pi" by Yann Martel which I think is one of the best books I've read and I'm only half way into it. I think it's Canadian but about an Indian boy. Very strong religious themes through out the book. I think it's fantastic - everybody should read it. I think you can take a lot out of it no matter what kind of fiction you like. It's both deep and thoughtful but also a great and well written story. It's very spiritual as well and written with a harmony and tolerance that the world really could do with a lot more of. It's fantastic basically and everybody should read it now!

On Friday I said something to a girl that really pissed her off. I can't remember what I said but I've been going through all the possibilities of what it was and to be honest I'd much rather that I just came onto her and she rejected me than any other option. At first I thought of all the horrible things that could be possibly said to a girl to piss her off but I really can't imagine myself saying something like that to any girl - even if I really hated her.

A woman has a close male friend. This means that he is probably interested in her, which is why he hangs around so much. She sees him strictly as a friend. This always starts out with, you're a great guy, but I don't like you in that way. This is roughly the equivalent for the guy of going to a job interview and the company saying, You have a great resume, you have all the qualifications we are looking for, but we're not going to hire you. We will, however, use your resume as the basis for comparison for all other applicants. But, we're going to hire somebody who is far less qualified and is probably an alcoholic. And if he doesn't work out, we'll hire somebody else, but still not you. In fact, we will never hire you. But we will call you from time to time to complain about the person that we hired.
People who don't take the time to learn to appreciate cricket miss out on soooooooo much. I think I just watched the most exciting sporting contest of my life. Hard call but soooo amazing. And for that matter neither team won.
Imagine this - a game which goes for 5 days of about 7 or 8 hours a day and it comes down to the very last minute. It was sooooo fucking good.
Australia started the day needing to survive for 98 overs. We lost wickets quickly but Ricky Ponting (the captain and the only Tasmanian in the side) stepped up and played so fucking well. That said, he got out with 4 overs left in the game. This resulted in the worst two batters in our team having to survive for 4 overs. And they DID!!! For those last 24 balls every ball could have ended the game. It was soooo intense and exciting. Incredible. I wrote off Australia so many times in the day. It wasn't until the last ball of the game that I thought we would survive.
I think test match cricket is probably the best sport in the world apart from footbag. So much time and patience but that makes finishes like this one soooo good. Fast sports with lots of exciting moments deminish the overall excitement. The tension in this game was so amazing.

If you liked that book you might also like "Facts Behind the Helsinki Roccamatios" also by Martel. Personally I didnt enjoy life of pi as much as many people did. I didnt even like the book untill the last five pages or so. But I really enjoy the Facts Behind the Helsinki Roccamatios and would def recommend it.
yeah i'm ever so slowly getting into cricket. i used to hate all spectator sports but then i started liking football... and still hated cricket... now i'm starting to like cricket especially with such awesome games lately, makes me want to watch and see what happens next i like watching NBA stuff cause they're so freaking good.... but i have seen very little and would probly get sick of watching it very quickly

Sometimes things are sooooooooooooooo fucking frustrating. I would like to go be a monk and train footbag all day but not ever speak or look at a computer ever again!
I wish I could adequetly express how fucking frustrating I am. I can't go into details or I'll get in trouble. Lets just say it's political and I really really wish that every single person who reads this would join the IFPA and then get involved. So I had a kick today down at the market. Played with Jorden and Brian. Brian is improving, as is Jorden. Jorden hit spinning toe for the first time. Also getting some clippers happening and hit mirage>atw (out) for the first time today . Brian hit osis for the first time Was fun.
I wasn't playing my best - I guess too long a break without a serious session (I haven't played in short shorts for over a week) but I hit some ok stuff. I was hitting lots of flipside dlos, drifters, blenders and torques. Pdx torque on one side is finally becomming a move I can rely on all the time so that's cool. I hit some long runs too with my standard fives in them. I also hit frantic illusion for the first time which was very cool - very hard move for me so I was stoked on that. I think I'm beginning to really understand frantic stuff. Footbag is so mental. I think of frantic like a symp quantum pixie set - you start the symp quantum before you start the pixie but you still do the pixie first and plant it while you're doing the quantum. Not sure if that makes sense - i'm sure it doesn't look like that.
I also came stupidly close to barfly>high plains drifter which was a pretty hardcore link I thought. Complete fluke - first attempt rolled off my foot, every other attempt was no where near. Funny how things work like that.
Not much has been happening but I felt like posting here anyway
I haven't played any footbag since Saturday but I've been schooling my juggling . My 4 ball is getting a lot better and my 3 ball tricks are improving too.
I have a job interview today at 2pm working for an environmental lobby group (the wilderness society) - and I'm fairly confident of getting a job
Watched Night of the Living Dead last night which is a cool movie .
Also watched "The Life Aquatic" a few nights ago with Bill Murray and Owen Wilson. At first I thought it was a horrible horrible movie but it slowly grew on me and by the end I thought it was excellent. I guess it was advertised as some hilarious comedy - while it's actually a charming amusing journey. I really liked it anyway once I removed my expectations and just watched it for what it was.
