yeah that's correct. Sorry this is a little off topic.

"retarded" is definitly a negative term that can really be used in various context. For example a fire retarded blanket will slow or stop a fire. I understand it's used as slang for a mentally handicapped person but you can legitimatly say "my flip swirl is retarded" with the literal definition of the word and have the same meaning without any relation to mentally or physically handicapped people.

It's obviously a tough and confusing thing but personally I don't mind it's usage. It's obviously very different to homophobic language which only has a negative meaning because of it's connection to homosexuality - "gay" being the best example of this. If people want to use "gay" in the literal meaning of the word that's fine.

oh right, topic.... ummm, i still vote for the ranking system that would be really cool :D i suppose we should get all the judging stuff sorted out first tho hey? so it's all like even and stuff... ya dig it??

yeah actually you're right - clearly the meaning meant is "stupid" which would be a reference to mentally handicapped people. Well spotted - I agree - please don't use such words in such context.
