OMG, Basic Training iswicked fun, and wicked mod edit: edited because of discriminatory language at the same time. We just got our first 2hour pass, and it's 5 weeks into the program. They took my footbag away, so I made one with a sock, so I"m still shredding. But, I'm spending money tobe on this computer and phone, soI'mgoingto make it short. This is Switch, lettingyou all know that footbag will spread through the military, I'm doin' good, and I'll be back home in about 5 weeks. Hooah!!!!!

Well, I don't remember how long ago it was that I made this topic, but I'm now 1 hour, 12 minutes into my final 3 hour pass. And I'm exactly 17 hours, 35 minutes, and 15 seconds away from departing from Sand Hill, Fort Benning Georgia, for good. That's right, today's my last day, graduation is tomarrow, and I'm coming home.

Basic Training was fun, hard, boring, gay, and just about everthing else, ALL AT ONCE. I got to fire an AT4 (rocket launcher), and M203 (grenade launcher), a Mark-19 (automatic grenade launcher) 50-cal machine gun (so fast and powerful it has to be mounted onto something to shoot it, and it'sillegal to use it on a single human being, it's considered in humane, because one round will rip you in half, literally, we so it in a video they showed it, it freaking awesome. Things start sucking when you do fecking 12 mile road marches with a 30 pound balistic body armor, a 22 pound cevlar (helmet), 55 pound ruck sack, and it's freaking georgia, so you know it's hot and humid 24/7, and we'er in BDUs (you battle uniform, they're not verygood when itcomes to pass...) and those damned black battle boots... But when you complete it, you feel so... soo... soo FUCKING HOOAH. Ahhhhh, you just get so freaking motivated. We completed a 6 mile road march, and it was so tiring, but, damn as soon as I got in the bay, and the Drill Sergeant left for the night, I shredded, HARD CORE, for about and hour straight, I pulled my first double whirl, is it called swirl? I clipperedit and brought my leg aroundit twice and caught it ina clipper, so, double swirl or double whirl, whatever it's called. And don'tflame me, I've been kept from the real world for 2 and a half months now, I htink you can forgive a few name mixups. Well, I'm gonna go now, thanks for the encouragment, every little bit makes me ever more willing to fight for this country, even if I don't agree with Bush on anything. Talk to you all tomarrow when I gets home, back in Minnesota. OMG HOOAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Double whirl is called "whirr."
Swirl is an atw basically, in xbd position.

INFANTRY, HOOAH! I was in Benning in '03. What battallion were you? I was Alpha 2/58. I remember Benning like it was yesterday. Are you 11B or 11M? I was 11M, but when airborne came my way, I took it and became 11X. I spent so much time down in that shit hole, it's pathetic. I remember when we got to Atlanta at 11:30 at night to wait for the bus to shuttle us to Columbus. It was only supposed to take about a half hour for them to get there, but they didn't get there until around 1:45 or so. Then we got to 30th AGBN just before reville to do all of that paperwork crap, so we didn't get to sleep until lights out that day. I think that was probably the worst day of my life...well that and the following two weeks I was stuck at reception. The rest of boot camp was pretty freakin' sweet. Rifle qualification, grenades, AT-4, LAW training, dragon familiarization...almost makes me want to go back. Then I remember that those assholes tried to deploy me three times in less than two years. Where are you stationed at, anywho?

Edit: You didn't happen to have the honor of being squad leader of a squad full of fuckups, did you? Also, what were your qualifications? And, did anyone have to go through the gas chamber twice? Hehe, I've got a natural immunity for tear gas, so it didn't bother me very much (it just made my skin feel kinda hot and tingly, but it didn't screw with my eyes or make me puke like some people).

OMG, THE FIRST DAY AT 30TH AG. *Shudders* I could've cried, that was the worst day of my life, I kid you not. And the fallowing week and a half was only slightly better.

Well, I was in F Co 2-19th INF ITB on Sand Hill. And yes, a guy named Dichara had to go through the gas chamber FOUR times, he was immune by the time he went through the 4th time. And there was a guy in 4th platoon that was naturally immune to it. 1/200 ppl are immune. Omg, AT-4s are fun, did you get to launch a live round? We were lucky enough to get enough live rounds for the top 5 Rifle qualifiers to get one live round, so I got to blow a peice of tank up. Woot.

Yes, I did get a squad of Blue Falcons (if you don't get what that means, I'll shoot you.), I even remember their roster numbers because I had to bitch them out so much. 308, 309, 302, and 311. Those four idiots, I swear, I hope they get shot in Iraq, because no one's going to want to be their battle buddy, so no one's going to want to save their ass. All I can say is, HA, you fecking deserve it you buddy fuckers!!!!!!

I'm 11B, thinking about going Airborne though, don't know yet. It's only 3 weeks long, but I hear that it's REALLY intense.

Oh, btw, I'M HOME AGAIN EVERYONE!!!! I keep getting this feeling that I'm supposed to be back at the bay by a certain time, but then I realize, oh, duh, I"m not on pass, I'm done with training, no more drill sergeant. But then, 5 minutes later, I get the feeling again, that'll go on for like, 2-3 weeks I hear.

You get so much more freaking respect when you're in a military uniform. I had two extra bags that I needed to have put in on the plane, and they said it would be 50 bucks each. So I go up there, and the lady's like, I just want to thank you for volunteering to serve us and our country, here's i'll check those bags for you for free. BAM, 100 bucks back in my pocket. And then, you know how the gov is, freaking, the lowest bidder, so we get lowest class seating, that' sjust how it is with the military. So, a lady comes to the back, and says, you 8 soldiers, I need you to fallow me to the front please. And acting on reflex we all jump up, grab our gear and rush to the front, (We all though we were needed to lift something or somehting like that, or clean somthing, because when a DS askes for 8 soldiers, he's asking for volunteers for a detail, and you have to jump at the opportuninty to volunteer.) Turns out, they bumped all 8 of us to first class for free, everything was free on the ride back. And then when getting off the plane, I kept hereing little kids saying, hey, daddy look, an army man, and stuff like that. It just made me feel so good. Freaking hooah.

I'm out for the night, time to catch up on some odd 63 hours of sleep I missed this summer. J/k

Dang FRED! Reading all this stuff makes me want to join the military. I'm really glad your pyshed about it. Are most people having the same feeling you are about the military? And I dont know too much of the technical stuff, but I'm assuming your in the army?

I was talking about Blackend. Blue Falcon is secondary phonetics for BF. BF= Buddy Fucker, in other words, you're screwing your buddy by not carrying your own weight and that type of thing. The reason it's secondary phonetics is because the real phonetic words for B and F are Bravo and Foxtrot.

And no, I'm in the National Gaurd. Which is Army, but we're called National Gaurd, and the people who are in the regular Army are called, Regular Army. But hardly anyone knows that if they're not in the military. And no, you don't want to join the military, it may be fun, but it sucks royal ass at the same time. You have to be able to put up with ALOT of shit, and still be able to only get 4-5 hours of sleep a night with a Drill Sergeant coming in hourly to fuck with you guys if any little thing is screwed up with the Fire Gaurd. Fire Gaurd basically makes sure no one goes AWOL (Absent Without Leave (Punishable by death during times of war.)), makes sure noone from a different platoon comes in, and makes sure all the weapons are locked in the weapons rack and stays that way all night. They are also suppose to clean during they 1 hour shift. So if you studder while give the DS the report when he comes in, or you're not cleaning when he comes, he gets the whole platton up for a midnight smoke session.
