... Of all TIME! It took me awhile to figure out, but these are my favourite 5 ever, in no particular order:

radiohead - ok computer
pink floyd - the wall
pink floyd - dark side of the moon
explosions in the sky - the earth is not a cold dead place
the strokes - is this it

very close behind them are
alexisonfire - watch out!
radiohead - the bends

Think about it Modified! Have you 5 favourites each?

Hm...I'd have to say these are my top 5 albums.

Metallica - Master of Puppets
Megadeth - Rust in Peace
Death - Human // or The Sound of Perseverance
Control Denied - The Fragile Art of Existance
Blackend - Mental. Game. Messiah.

These are just from my metal archives. Since I love metal, I listed those five. I don't feel much like listing my favorite non-metal albums because I'm listening to metal right now. I've got a bunch of bands on my metal website, but it's far from being completed. http://www.geocities.com/ourumov_pimp/samsmetal.html if anyone wants to look at it. When I get internet again I'll probably update and attempt to complete my archive.

Edit: And I do put ketchup on my eggs.

I've spent the better part of my life trying to work an answer to this sort of question. The best I've come up with yet is:

Something by Tom Waits
Something by Bob Dylan
Something by Chopin (Not that he released 'albums' per say)
Something by Led Zeppelin
Something by Cake

I'll have to check out some of the stuff mentioned in here.
