To address the intro video: I recieved good feedback last month about it, and if you subtract the time it takes for the normal intro it is only an extra 16 seconds which equates to 1.6mb, and even for 56k that is only 5 mins download.
I put a bit of effort into the intros which I would be quite happy to spend on other things, I guess I can't know how to run this perfectly untill I try these things and either get props or knocks.
Incase you didn't notice I cut the celebrations this month, nobody has complained so it will remain that way, i'll cut the intro next month and see if anyone cares, this is only the 4th month running these events and I still havent got the system down yet (as you might have noticed, voting pages still not up). But everything is running as smooth as can be expected.
A note on video consistancy: I do all I can to brighten/re-encode all the clips to get them as watchable as possible. I can understand it is difficult to film an entry with a mobile camera and get a good angle without having to stick to a 2m square to shred in, it is hard to understand this if you havent entered the competitions before.
It happens though that a better shot video will do better than a shody dark one where you can't even see the whole person, so this is something to keep in mind when filming!
Still working on those voting pages, just looking for a gap in Uni work so I can code them up(will take atleast 2-3 hours of time I don't have
