So I did play yesterday, but nothing special to report. I just got an ifpa membership and uploaded my record breaking video. I decided not to include anything else and it's not really edited. Just raw footage of the record break. I'm not going to make a video out of the session I taped because...I don't have enough time and I would rather be out playing footbag than editing the video. Plus I didn't hit anything special, except the record.

EDIT: Wow, footbag.org is slow. I'll put up a smaller vid.

Well, I played last night for about an hour. It was fun, I hit some nice stuff. stepping clip > sidewalk > blur > dimwalk in the middle of one run.
I counting down the days till' I start using my strongside ankle again. I use it very little now, maybe once every 2 runs or so.
Footbag is becoming more and more fun ever since I decided that I don't have to do tricks and stuff that I don't want to. I know it sounds dumb, but sometimes I do tricks because that's what you're "supposed" to do. But now I just have fun with it.
The next combo I want to hit is: ss eggbeater > magellan > repeat.

Yesterday Kaitlyn and I played with the Sole Purpose Footbag club here in Oregon. It was so awesome! I decided since this was such a special occasion I was going to use my bad ankle. So I did. I was playing really well now that I was able to use both sides. I was a little rusty spinning with my bad ankle but that's to be expected. My shuffle has improved a bunch now that my flipside can step almost better than my strongside. Actually I was playing more sideways than anything.
Red, Brian, and Jake were awesome. Red was just coming off a knee injury so he wasn't playing at 100%, but man, I wish I could play like that coming off a knee injury. He is soooo good. Brian is the most consistent footbag player I have ever played with, ever. I mean up there with the best players. He probably hit over 10 guiltless strings that were over 25 contacts if not more. He just kept going and going. Jake can do the fastest tiltless runs out of anyone I've seen. His style is awesome. He hits things he's never tried before like they're easy.
Last night was probably the most fun I've had playing footbag, ever. Everyone was so cool and they were all really good. If anyone gets a chance to come to Oregon definitely make sure you set up some time to shred with these guys.

I played again today with a couple guys from the Portland Posse. I played with Red, who was again off the hook, and Noah. When I first saw Noah play I knew I had seen him playing somewhere but couldn't remember where. I remembered about half way through the session that I saw him on the Portland Sundown vid from monsterhack (R.I.P.). He was awesome as well. Such a smooth style.
I was playing very well today. I hit a 30+ guiltless run with some sweet stuff in it and ended it with a whirlwind. It was so sweet, people around that were watching started clapping, I was surprised cause I didn't know they were watching. I hit some nice combos too. One notible that I never "officially" hit was rev. swirl > ps whirl > repeat. I got all the way through it twice just to barely foot the bag on the last ps whirl enough to get the bag to pop 2 inches up. Never could seal it though. I was playing well, I was

The Portland crew is so awesome! I would like to thank them for letting me play with them and adjusting their busy schedules to play with me. Thanks a bunch!

Rip!
What was that sound?
Oh it was a knife slicing through my spinal cord!

That's right Henry you have been replaced. Looking back I now think the time we played footbag was the worst time ever. I hated playing with you.
You know if you were there it would be even better, which would make it definitely the best time ever, not just probably.

I played last night with Kaitlyn. She's getting good at clippers and atw's. She can hit both side clip set mirages and pickups. I was definitely not at my best yesterday, but I was surprised that I did so well. Nothing felt right and I was still hitting some nice combos. I'll most likely play tomorrow and then on Saturday, yay! I'm excited to play with everyone again. We've all gone on vacation in the past month and we haven't been able to get together. It'll be fun. I can't wait to see how good John and Jeff have gotten. (Is "gotten" a word? Probably not.)
Still don't know where we are going to play though...

Played tonight with Jeff, Jon, Kaitlyn, and Mark was there but didn't play. They are getting really good. I was hitting some nice stuff. Some long strings and such. I hit spinning ducking clipper > ducking clipper > repeat. That combo felt so awesome. Also hit another cool feeling combo: spinning diving clipper > spinning clipper > repeat. Also I owned superfly. I hit it first try and it was only my second time ever hitting it. We were about to leave and I had just put my shirt on and superfly just popped into my head. So I said to Jeff, "Watch, I'm gonna hit superfly." So I did. Hehe, it was cool. Anyway Saturday's gonna be sweet!
Out.

It was sooo much fun today. We met at Jeff's house from 11:30 to 3:30. Jeff has a pool, trampoline, basketball court, and huge grill in his backyard. It was so much fun. We shredded for about an hour and a half when we first got there. It was Kaitlyn, Jon, Jeff, and myself. Then after a bit we decided to jump on the trampoline. Jon is so sweet on the trampoline. He can do crazy stuff. After that we went swimming then Steve showed up. He had been at the DMV for 2 hours, but he got a new license plate, guess what it says? FOOTBAG. I'm still bitter about that because I've been wanting to do that for awhile now and he stole it from me.
Oh well, I'm over it.
We then shredded some more on the basketball court, which was nicely shadded by nearby trees. Then they went swimming again, but Kait and I stayed out because we were leaving soon.
The day was so awesome. It was so relaxed and carefree. The only thing that would've made it better was food. And we are going to cover that next time. It was an awesome day!

Ya, so I played for about an hour today. I was doing pretty good.

I widened up my stance on butterflys and stepping sets and got 22 ripwalks. Beat my record by 4, first try. Boy was it tiring.

Ya, I know, I haven't been posting much on my blog. That's not because I'm not playing or getting better, it's because I'm either too lazy, or I forget what stuff I hit. I play at school now a lot so by the time I get home I can't remember what it is I hit, so I don't bother posting. Oh well.
The things I remember hitting yesterday:
run > blur > parkwalk > sidewalk > blur > dimwalk > blur > parkwalk > sidewalk > drop (I think)
spinning pdx whirl bsos and ducking pdx whirl bsos, in one run
spinning pdx whirl > mobius > run
gyro dlo
Can't remember anything else. My ankle was sore yesterday, but it seems better today.
