what is the best filler, what is most common.. what do the pros use?

plastic pellets, metal BBs, glass pellets, steel shots, pebbles, rice,peas or other hard food, sand, air, .....

i use plastic and BBs. plastic for filler and then i add bbs for the weight. makes the best footbags. :D

The best filler is not always the same for every bag, it depends on how you stitch. So the only way to really tell is to experiment.

Good Fillers:
everything Pete listed up until the last ones, peas, rice, food, air.

Organic materials tend to break down over time. Plus, they seem kinda big and light.

yea organics aint good for de bags..stick with steel shot,plastic pellets,small stones..i hear glass isnt good for bags cas they break up and can cause holes in the bag..cas they are sharp.. :evil: but yea,its all up to you..

it was a journey trying to find steel shots, i ended up settling for bbs because i couldnt find the steel shots.. i have been using poly pellets with crushed stone, but i ran out of the stone and i needed weight badly... thanks for the input...

p.s. here is a picture of my newest bag... it turned out really good, i just need to adjust the weight...

Can't steel shot be obtained by breaking open shotgun shells?
