Google Talk!

Let's do this thang!

Great quality sound and a cute ringer, unlike skype.

Quality is pretty much like Skype.

So in a way it's similar to Skype, but it's google, so it's obviously cooler!

All you need is a Gmail account and you can use this!

i had skype...it pretty much sucked...totally pointless. skype is this online phone service that you can talk to people from all over the world, but the one catch is you can only talk to people that have skype or else you have to pay some fee every month to talk to people not on skype...i dunno...its a waste of time and space on your computer...might as well just use a regular old phone in my opinion...

mmm, i think the idea is that eventually it will be used across the board and that wont be an issue. it's a long way off tho. it doesn't meet communication standards etc

I've never heard of Google Talk so I'm just gonna go off-topic here. I think Skype is brilliant. The software is free and I bought a headset to it for 10€. The connection is also excellent.

So what if the other person has to have Skype as well? It's like saying all phones suck, because also the person you're calling to has to have a phone.

A friend of mine moved to another country and with Skype I can call her for free. Actually my girlfriend just had a 2-hour talk with her. The cost of that call, 0,00€. With a cell that would've been 45,48€!

Exactly! I talk to my cousins in Poland all the time, and don't pay a penny!(other than for the interent which i have already been paying for)

Google Talk just recently came out, and I've only used it like 3 times. It looks really clean and that's about it. However google still has some glitches to work, because yesterday my cousin and I wanted to use it while playing cs, and it started to get really choppy.

Oh and another thing about Skype that rocks! Is the conference calling. Where I talk with my cousins that live in poland and my cousins that live here online. Almost like a party. Lol.

Download it

Add everyone who has a gmail account
