I play soccer and i also play and love footbag. and some of the things you guys are saying about soccer arent true. you dont get kicked in the face, and people do score. Also i find that playing footbag improved my soccer skills. And jbalexdarkelf people probly think you'd be good at soccer becuase of your eye and foot corrdination...

I always thought us footbaggers should be nice people. so other people can get interested in sport.(cause isnt that what we are trying to do?) and if we flip out because someone gives you a complament about soccer?! my god grow up.

words are just words, actions are what count.

Whenever people see me play footbag and tell me I should play soccer, I ask them: "when you see somebody playing ping pong well, do you tell them `you should play tennis!`?"

Never played soccer (ok, I did once) and really can't tolerate the philosophy of that sport.
I mean...just look at the fans who wreck the entire stadium/kill a few people/burn stuff/break windows because their team won/lost.

And sticking your finger up your opponents ass somehow differes from footbag pros explaining you how to do it at tournaments/videos.

That's not the philosophy of the sport, but of some of the fans of the sport.
Have you ever seen a football player do those kind of things?

I'm afraid I have...both famous and nameless ones...

But I don't want to say that all soccer players and fans are like that...It's just the fact that I don't like soccer that much because I know so many jerks who play soccer and so many people are like : " soccer is the best sport anyway...why else would it be so famous"...

I h8 that kind of attitude and it really is an agressive sport....

But still it's a lot of fun to play soccer for fun with friends

hey hey...i dont like soccer,i never did,before i knew footbag i hated every sport with balls involved,cause i allways got the balls in my groin and so i hated every ball!even my own!

but for all those who like soccer,come to germany next year,watch the world cup,and then afterwards,or before it come to footbag world championships!

it should be around dt he same time!

I grew up playing soccer. i loved it, and i take no offense to people asking me if i play soccer, i simply say, "i did when i was a kid, now footbag is my passion" and if they tell me i "should" do anything, i say, "ill stick with footbag, thanks."

I was shredding last night in front of the squash courts, and a jockey saw me and asked if i played soccer, i said no, i play footbag. I showed him ducking clipper, and he stared at me like i had no pants on.

My school principal saw me shredden and said "PLEASE tell me you're on our soccer team

..." so I told him the truth... "I didn't make it on your fucking soccer team, cause footbag's my sport and soccer was just on the side, until you ruined my self esteem by cutting me from the team.

I personally love soccer and was first given a footbag by my mother because i played so much soccer. When people ask me if i play soccer i tell them it was my inspiration and the source of my foot-eye co-ordination.

Represent!!!

There is no point in getting pissed at people when they equate footbag to soccer. At least they are interested! (unless they TELL you that you should be playing soccer INSTEAD of footbag.....in that case f*** those idiots)

I played soccer about 6 years but now I don't play. I don't know why. Maybe someday I will play soccer again...
