Sounds like a plan!! :D

So I had a mixed day today. First I tried to organise a shred but couldn't get anybody to play with. Really made me want to move back to Melbourne - I think my biggest wish in life is to have a really keen person who always has time to play - maybe even a couple. Not that the other Hobart people aren't keen - they are really keen but I guess school and stuff are important.

Anyway I played by myself in the mall. I was so on fire - hitting some awesome stuff - double blenders, whirrs, pdx dlo>smoke bsos, pdx torque>pdx blender really solidly. I hit a sweet run with flurry and barroque in it - on opposite sides. It was just awesome - maybe the best I've ever played. Every run was good. A guy watched me for like 30 minutes then gave me $5 even though I wasn't busking - he was really amazed. It was just sooooooo much fun. Horray. I was playing in board shorts too so hardly doing any shuffle (I can't hit stepping sets in particular in board shorts unless I do a farily low set which makes hard stepping moves too hard to be worth trying. Just heaps of fun.

Then I met up with Garry - who's learning to DJ and I went around to his place and had a DJ jam session with him. He was sounding really awesome and also had a very very cool remix of RATM - Killing in the Name on vinyl (not sure who it was mixed by). So that was heaps of fun too.

So after a slow day it finished really well :)

Should be a big kick tomorrow anyway :D There's so much stuff I want to try when I have short shorts on (and can step and nuclear and sail and good quantum and stuff like that)

Hey Jeremy. I know what it's like when you're the only one able or keen to kick. It personally puts a real downer on my day - it almost makes me want to quit sometimes. That's the sort of thing that makes me dispise the size of Australia. Wish you (and everyone else) were only an hours drive away - tops.

I'm glad it turned out to be a good solo, though.
I need to play more. :(
Comment in the BCS blog if you feel the need to.

Well play more gareth.

I think we shall wax thee bottom holes of thy young princes Jesse Malouf of little brisbane town and Jamieson Hickingbottom of Ballarat place At next Nationals for Disrespection of the score of jeremy.

Hail jeremy for he has scored.

The waxing of bumholes will take place in federation square. The public most welcome. John saffron will be there filming his next doco series, Christians and Waxing, the do's and don'ts.

Oh yeah, cant wait till i shred with you next, jeremy. You are hitting some awesome stuff, keep it up.

Peace
hagesy.

Fuck I love Saturdays - so much fun. Played so much - from like 10:30 to 3 with not much break. My form right now is amazing - I'm just hitting everything all the time. Too many highlights to mention them all. A great run with flurry and plasma in it. Ripped warrior bsos. Whirrs, flurries, double blenders, quantums and frantics really well mid string. A cool tripless run which started with whirr>pdx dlo and had another 15 or so contacts. Lots of fives everywhere. One run that started with fog>pixie over down and had another 6 or 7 unique fives in it. Good length too. Some long genuine runs. Once I'd pretty much finished and put my board shorts on I hit frenzy both sides on demand and sailing ss dlo on demand (4 dex moves in board shorts are usually hard for me) and then I hit the cleanest ever alpha symp fury - it was sooooo fucking sweet.

Tonight there is a big rave happening with 4 DJs and stuff so party hard tonight :D

Footbag - fuck yeah.

yeah I recorded that set and the RATM set. Impossible Music festival rocked.

So did Saturday night. Wow yeah - awesome night out. Rave was a bit boring but I met some old friends I hadn't seen in a long time so that was cool. Went out to some clubs instead. Got talked into doing a demo for the bounces outside a club called Mobius (luckily I was wearing my lavers - they don't care about shoes in Hobart :P) and got some big props - especially for hitting some "hard" tricks - assassin, whirr, ps whirl, datw and torque. I can't believe I forgot to try and hit nemesis.

Went on some late night/early morning missions and chilled with some friends - didn't get home until about 4pm :D

Only drunk one beer for the night (and that was before I left the house) - Southwark Old Stout (from South Australia). I only drink beer usually too. Alcohol abuse is so uncool. I'd much prefer to drink a couple of nice beers and still keep control of myself then get completely wasted.

mmm, i taped the fatboy slim set... damn that was a good weekend for radio... i wish i'd thought of taping chemi bros while it was happening :( i'm gonna email and ask if they can put it up for download cause it was so fricking good

sounds like you had a good night... i agree alcohol abuse sucks.. unfortunately i do it occassionally... last night was cool had 2 woodstocks just chilling with my bro, had a couple more today... twas nice. i'm really tired as i got no sleep last night. i think it's bed time (yes, at 3 in the arvo...) i wish i could wear shoes like lavers out... even in bendigo i occassionally get refused for my white leather basketball shoes... how lame.

yeah very lame.

So I had a nice training session tonight at the PCYC. I just drilled some fairly basic stuff. I fooled around at the end though and was hitting whirr fairly well on both sides although my flipside felt a bit thin. I need to see them on tape. I also hit fog>frantic butter and a nice flip frenzy.

Had my first day at work today too but that was boring. Had a 40 minute session in the mall too - just by myself because I was apparantly an hour early for work :? (well they called me to tell me to come in an hour later but I didn't get the message :x ).

It was such a great day and I was playing to some really chilled music on my mp3 player so it was lots of fun. I really felt in the zone and completely distant to all the people around me. I didn't do anything hard - a couple of downtime fives and some whirrs because I'm in love with that move at the moment but nothing else was worth mentioning - also I tilted lots but it was still heaps of fun and really relaxing :D

RATM Albums:

Rage Against the Machine
Evil Empire
Battle of Los Angeles
Renegades
Live at the Audwhatsit :P

Live and Rare fits in their somewhere - I think after Battle of LA but it might be after Evil Empire. There are also lots of singles although I only have killing in the name, and testify. There are three official dvds I think - self titled, Battle of Mexico City and Live at the thing. A lot of stuff is also available on vinyl but I don't have any vinyl stuff yet (and nothing to play it on :( )

Had a little kick today in the mall by myself listening to some music on mp3 player. Went ok. Had a chat to one of the bouncers from mobius (a cool club) and hit a mobius for him :D

Also hit some ok runs - just chilling. One run I remember had began with mobius and also had pdx torque, assassin and ps whirl in it - and was guiltless. I wasn't going guiltless very often because of my board shorts and playing by myself in a public place. I also hit whirr bsos but the second one was out of a clipper and a midstring double blender again just out of a clipper. Still it was lots of fun.

Then I went and learnt how to spin a fire staff with this bunch of people who meet every Tuesday. Sometimes some of the guys I play footbag with go to this but tonight I didn't know anybody. Still they were all friendly and by the end of the night I was spinning with fire and passing behind my back bsos :D I'm still pretty basic but I'm going to school every day until I rock :)

Also going for a jog tomorrow morning and probably every morning apart from serious shred days. Should be fun. I've tried to talk a few people into being running partners since it's so much easier to get the motivation etc. if you have somebody to run with but I'm not sure if I've succeeded yet. Maybe my brothers girlfriend will join me tomorrow but I'm pretty skeptical. Still I'll just do a light jog for half an hour to an hour I think. It'll probably worsen my footbag game to begin with but will eventually improve it and my general fitness I think. I seem to be being very healthy these days - not much alcohol, pretty much only healthy food and exercise. I've even stopped having sugar in my coffee :P I don't really know why I'm doing this - some unconscious desire to be fit I guess. It does give you a lot more energy though :)

Yo

I am thinking about getting some yoga and aerobic videos to improve my footbag skills.

Cross training is a good thing.

I am lucky that my squash training helps my footbag training.

peace

No all my whirrs are clip set - it's just that I'm trying to hit them in guiltless runs - but when I'm just chilling in board shorts - ie. the kick i was talking about - the runs were like: clip>legover>smear>drifter>pdx mirage>clip>whirr>osis etc. - so the move before the whirr is just a clipper. Nothing more.

Going for a run right now :D

So I went for my run :) Ran for about 30 - 40 minutes. (didn't really time - which was silly). I had a pedometer with me but it was set on my brothers girlfriends step length so it was fairly clearly inaccurate. Acording to it I ran 5 km and 8500 steps. So I'd estimate I ran between 8 and 9 km - which is pretty good for the time and I guess I'm a lot fitter than I thought.

It felt really good. I had a short period near the start where it felt tough but I pushed through that and managed to run at what felt like a good pace.

Things to remember for tomorrow -
time how long I run for
bring mp3 player case so I can clip it on and listen to music.

my flatmate sometimes runs with me, but generally it's a solo effort

Just a quick and boring running report. I will try and keep a record from now on. I won't count the first day because I wasn't counting laps or time:

Today:

34 minutes
20 laps

(according the pedometer - which I used to just for a warm down lap that I walked at the end 1 lap = 250 meters but as mentioned it's set wrong. Walking down from home to the park had a difference of 300 meters for Emma and 500 for me but it's very hard to compare walking at different paces or even running etc. so I would say it's around 300 - 400 metres per lap. I doubt I ran 8 km today so at this stage I'm going with 300 metres as an approx.)

I was feeling a bit sore and it was harder going than yesterday so I took things at a very light pace. I was wearing my mp3 player this time and listening to some trance :)
