More art then shred. This took me about 4 hours to make. Inspiration from Jere and Sam.
Thanks.

David,
Awesome vid.
One suggestion for a future vid.
Make a string of moves (cut together) that is just plain rediculously hard and that goes for like a hundred plus contacts. That run you did was so mean looking the way it was cut together. I would love to see something crazy like 100+ contacts of just about everything with the gnarliest links you can think of.
That would be sweet!

I thought it was awesome! I love videos like that. They are very dramatic. I actually loved that there was no music. I like hearing the natural sounds and stuff.
The only nit pick I have is about the powerade bottle. Was it just out there when you got there. Like you just left it out there from the night before or something. All I have to say is, I wouldn't drink a bottle of anything that's been open and outside all night.

No, I don't play soccer. Yes, there are competitions. 4 years. Lots of practice.

It sounded like the bottle was empty when you placed it back on the wall there.
Hey Dave,
Just got off the phone with Aaron, he agrees, make an impossible run for us. With your skillz you could really make people go
WTF!!! Even if it is faked together.

ps. I have no doubt you can hit that string.

Those were some nice cuts. Makes for smooth shred-watching. I'm actually a little surprised you were able to make the string so convincing. I'm no expert, but it looked good to me, so it would almost definately fool a lay-person.
You should send your cookies vid to the company who makes them. You could score some free snacks.

Cool video! However, I'm going to have to disagree with Damon and Aaron here and say don't make an impossibly string from cut together clips. Set a good example by making the strings you put together legit. We don't want people thinking it's all right to get sketchy with how they represent themselves. It's all good and well if you say that you hit the string (and that's obviously a string you can hit, so we can take your word for it), but we have no real proof. Of course, that wasn't the point of the video, so don't think of this comment as demeaning your work. I enjoyed it very much.
That was a great video - thanks Dave. It's awesome to see you trying some new stuff with editing etc.
Also I'm sure you could actually hit the run in the vid - in fact I bet you've hit it lots of times.
Just a couple of points:
Do you have a picture of Saturn in your room?
Why do you spray deoderant on before you play footbag? Surely you have a shower after playing anyway - and if it's a solo session you don't really need to smell nice do you?
I think some kind of serious dramatic music would have improved the video - but the no music was cool too.

i disagree about the music. i think just the raw sound effects of the vid made it awesome. especially the shredding noises and the little "ploop!" when you put your gatorade back down.
awesome shit dave, i think my favorite angles where you tieing your shoes.

Yeahhh!!! Nice david. You have shown so much improvement since the cookie video. Don't listen to the imposter Sam, make an impossible string!!!

Started with sparse low lines, built intensity with rythmic variety, went to 16th note lines in high register, than went to octives, than block chords for my last chorus... If you understood that last sentance than you should be playing music and not checking the internet.

I am at this point more of a video editing geek than a footbag geek. I can say for sure right now, from an editing point of view, that video is awesome. The sound is so crisp, it doesn't need music. My footfalls don't even sound that good and crisp when I play for real. The angles were awesome, and the ambient noise was pretty cool too. Of course, the string was awesome, but the video itself is wonderfully edited. Kudos to you, sir. I hope to one day make a vid of similar caliber.

Wow! It looks really nice. Th only thing that I don't like is the cut after kicks, and before run...
Some low and dramatic music in the background would be super-cool. But even with the music the original sound should be the most clear. So without music it's still very good.
Huge props, David!
