Cod's footblog

Post by Cod »

I've decided to start writing a footblog 8). My name is Michał Biarda and nickname is Cod. I live in Warsaw, Poland. I'm 18 at the moment. My favourite players in Poland are Damian Budzik, Szymon Kałwak (aka Ners) and Kamil Wysocki (aka Kierpca). My favourite foreign players are Jorden Moir and Vasek Klouda. I'm a toe2toe player. I think the only really toe2toe player in Poland. It's really cool, because I can hit many things the other people can't and I can also invent many new moves! I'm a member of Smart Legs Footbag Club and also of No Osis Posse ;). If you think Osis sucks I like you :). That's all about me. Now, it's time for my first report from training.

01.09.05

There are Warsaw Championships tomorrow, so I haven't freestyled today. I was schooling my routine. It's not so good, because I'm preparing it for about two weeks or even less than that. But it's also not as bad as my Euros routine (do you still remember that shit with 15 drops?!). There is only one 4add move in it (Toe Blur ofcourse) and one 5add at the end. It's preety few, but I simply don't want to have one more time tousends drops! I've played whole routine only two times. For the first time I had 4 drops and for the second - 7. That's cool, but I think too bad to win a competition :(. One time after something about 90 seconds I had only 1 drop but then unexpectedly a German girl, who was roller-skating around with brother, fell on me! That was really funny, but I lost my chance for a good result... There are also Sick3 and Shred30 in Warsaw Championship. I have hit my toe2toe 5>4>6 in three tries today! I hope I'll do the same in competition... If I do that, I'll be in Top3. I haven't schooled Shred30 much today. I think Shred30 in Warsaw is a lottery :). Whole shred takes about 2,5 hours of my life.

The 3rd Warsaw Championship took place today in the evening in some night-club. There were three competitions. The first was Shred30. As I said yesterday, it was a lottery. I had got something like 80 points and that was a really catastrophe for me :(. The winner (Jan "Głowa" Tarnowski) had got about 120. The 2nd (Wojciech "Chester" Jamski) and 3rd (Tomasz "Gobol" Tarczyński) had about 105. The second competiotion was Sick3. I have prepared Dominatrix > Toe Blur > Pixie Merlin. Unfortunately, in 6 tries I didn't hit that. Two times it was really close... In my 7th try I hit Dominatrix > Toe Blur and then really really high Toe set... something about 1,5 meters or even more! And I hit Merlin out of it! Yey! Whole competition won Chester (Matador > Blurriest > PS Whirl), the 2nd was COD :D and the 3rd was Gobol (Legbeater > Ripwalk > Paradox Torque). At the end Open Freestyle took place. There were only 9 players and we had not so many time, so we decided to do only finals. I've played really nice-looking routine with only 7 drops (I have never got less than 10 drops in Open Free before!), some nice Mini Toes and Pixie Op Knee Bump Op Knee Bump Op Legover b2b fit to music :). The new Champion of Warsaw is Wiktor Dębski (4 drops)! The 2nd is Chester (I don't remember how many drops he had). And a bronze medal is on the wall in my room 8). I'm really happy!

There was a shred with Gobol, Wiktor, Damian Budzik and Damian Piechocki. Budzik and Piechu are awesome! They have such long and cool Guiltless runs with many 5s! I haven't hit new moves, but some nice runs. I'm proud because I finally can hit flipside Quantum midrun. I'm also really happy because of my Pixies :). I've hit really cool combo with Pixie Duckings:

Puck > Puck > Assasin > Pixie Weaving Legover > Pixie Diving Legover > Phoenix

At this training we had one little competition. Five people have started to walk while doing Butterfly > Butterfly (I was doing Plo > Plo hehe). I won! I think I've made something like 50 meters ;).

Today, after one-day-break, I've made a two-hours-shred with my girlfriend. I haven't hit new stuff. I've just tried to do long Guiltless runs with new links. My goal is to hit more than 30 contacts with a nice variety. Today I've hit only 24. But I'm proud I'm starting using new tricks in my runs like: DATW, Slapping Mirage, Paradox Illusion. Asia (that's my girlfriend's name, in English it's Joan) has hit today her first Clippers bsos! She also has hit again her mini-sick3: ss Mirage > Mirage > Symposium Mirage.

Anssi, in three weeks we will have in Warsaw another competition and this one will be way bigger than Warsaw Championships. In few days we want to make a teaser (spelling?), so keep waiting :).

Today it was a really short solo shred because of weather. It's too hot! If I remember good I hit again a 24 contacts Guiltless run and then I made a new record - 27. I'm using in my combos more stuff. Today many Quantums. For example I hit Slap bsos. I also started to hit Fairy midrun: some Fears, Fairy Legovers and Fairy ss Legovers, but only on one side, because my flip Fairy sucks more than Osis! After long combos I decided to hit a new sick3 and I nailed: Railplant > Royall Assasin > Pixie Merlin! My first 5>5>6 ever! And for all guys from Finland it's my first 5>5>5 ever :P.

Awesome solo-shred today! At the beginning of a training I hit 38 contacts of Magellan > Plo as a warmup. It's my new record of that drill :). Old was something like 25. It was hot so I didn't shred much. I decided to school some things. While trying Toe set Whirling Rake I realized that I might be able to hit Toe Barrage on my flip. And I did that many times! I started schooling flipside Fairy and after some tries I hit Fairy Legover b2b which was a challenge from Ners ;). Then, I hit some Fears on flip. That was my first two flip Fairy moves. After some time, I hit a superb drill: Fear > Atomsmasher > repeat, even ended on Toe Blur. I was really happy. I haven't hit yet Guiltless combo with more than 30 contacts, but it was close today - 26. I also hit nice 20 contacts Guiltless run started with Conniption City (Quantum Symposium Mirage). And one more thing: new 5s! Flipside Conniption City, flipside Royal Assasin and strongside Alpha Tripwalk.

Nice blog, Michal. Most of my moves are out of toe because I love toe! Go toe2toe. Sadly, I don't hate osis. At least not gyro osis or toe diving osis.

Today there was a little shred with my girlfriend. It was really short, because we have started to late . At the beginning I've made a new record of my warmup drill (Magellan > Plo). It's now 46! I've also made another record. 4 Toe Blurs in a row! And I've hit two new cool links: Conniption City > Merlin and Domiantrix > Conniption City (the second one was so hard!). Asia has hit Symposium Mirage > Toe > ss Mirage > ss Pickup. That was a challenge from me :).

Today I had a shred with Wiktor, Gobol and Chester. We wanted to do a video teaser for Wilanów Cup III (nice Polish competition, Wiktor is a main organisator). After filming in a nice park, in which there are many symbols of Wilanów (Wilanów is a part of Warsaw), we went to the school, in which the competition will take place. We've filmed some stuff inside and then outside. I have hit one new trick: Terraging no plant Clipper. It's really cool. Gobol has hit Mobius. Wiktor has hit Whirlygig bs and Tomahawk b2b. Keep waiting for a video :).

Today I had a solo shred. At the beginning I was trying to make a new record of Pixie Legovers (about one month ago I've hit 64). After first (and last) try I was like :x  . Why? Because I've hit 64! Damn! Maybe next time will be better. After that I was schooling my Toe Blurs. I've hit 6 contacts of Smear > Toe Blur and then 6 Toe Blurs in a row! I have to say I'm happy :). Then I was training my Shred30. I have no new records, but I think it's better with my shred than earlier. During the whole training some 15yo guys was watching me and couldn't believe that I do what I do ;). One of them has tried ATW, but he didn't hit it. He has kicked it once. After that I've showed them DATW. They where like 8O :D. And then they've asked me if I can do three dexes. In second try I've hit Trixie! :)
