Self-serving is a sin?

Yeah, even with some people that are careful with toe pick-ups I cringe internally and watch carefully at my bag to see if there's any harmful effects on it. So far, I've seen that my inexperienced college colleagues are much more of a threat at doing toe-pickups than the NYFA crew that I play with, so I have some trust in them if they do so sometimes.

But more than likely myself and other players will have to pick-up their bags by hand for proper showmanship. Importantly for my 32s.

People who spit in a circle should be kicked out of the circle my bag almost landed in spit because of a asshole in the circle X.X

Having Richie like a stones throw away we get the luxury of destroying footbags.

That said we do indeed use one foot to place it on the other, gently ofcourse. But sometimes when we drop, we'll get in a hurry and scrape it back onto the foot. Sometimes the bag is soaked and won't roll onto the foot as easily, in this case we'd pick it up and place it, or throw it up for self-service (please - you self-serve while solo - it happens - get over it).

Sometimes (Aaron does this) a rake will miss the mark and scraaaaaaape right across the ground. I cringe a little on those.

But like I said if the bag gets holely we just hit Richie up for another bag (we pay for them ofcourse). So this isn't a big deal.

None of us EVER EVER EVER toe up a bag. It has been about 7 years since I've even seen someone do this or having done it myself. I guess I haven't been around Hacky Sackers in a while.

ps: I'm notorious for spitting on the ground. I am a smoker and the flem balls seem to want out during practice. I generally spit a good ways away from the circle and usually in a planter or on the sand no where near the kicking surface. Although in the past I wasn't as nice about it.

Well, if your friends tolerate it then there's no problem. Usually in the circles I've been one or two self-serves are ok if they happen really early in the string, otherwise it's polite to toss to some other. But if I play with totally strange people I first don't do any self-serves at all just to be polite.

Yeah, I know. I was pretty much joking around. Don't want to to tempt those "Hacky Slackers" to yell at me for my immoral sin of their hack circle etiquette. But definitely, I serve to various people all the time. I just find it impolite when they don't serve it to me too often, as though I'm too good to kick with them.

But hey, I guess I have a huge load of humility to have patience. I just don't find the glory of kicking a bag around when you can easily freestyle and stall it to no end, right?
