Street a component?

Talk about your big add moves and concepts in here.

Should street tricks get an extra add?

Absolutly. That shit's crazy.

I personally dont think the add system should be mixed with footbag street. The thing i think of is skating tricks, Its not like a kickflip is worth two points, and a 360 flip worth three. Besides, would if you did a trick off something 2 feet high as opposed to 4 feet high.. Is the ground gravely dirt, or smooth pavement. Did you do it flip or regular? what would be standard for what receives and extra add and what doesn't..? If someone jumped off a roof and did a toe stall, i think that would be more than two adds. I dont know, to me, points shouldn't apply to street footbag. Not to mention the fact your putting your body at risk... Imagine breaking your leg over a two add. no way!!!!

yeah eric, i totally thought that street should get an extra add, say,
if allan were to someday bust a duckin blur down a picnic table
but now that you put it like you did with the fresh analogy and comparison to skateboarding..one of the coolest sports besides...cough cough
i'm now torn...wait no i'm not, that's what this post is f-ing about....
you have shown me the way duder...the dude...el duderino

btw, how long you been skating man? who's your fav "shredder?" (tony hawk called skaters this on the 302nd simpsons tonite 8O )
oh yeah...have you seen the Globe-"opinion" vid?- where johnny rodney mullen is blowing the mind's of all who watches his section
cause i got it along with some insane old mullen footage circa 1989 on my comp that i could get to ya...somehow...AIM possiblye?

Cool. I'm glad to hear what Allen says. However, even if it's no adds I'd still like to have some sort of notation. But maybe that's just me. Well anyways typically I'm just like "I hit a mirage down 2 stairs" or something. So... I don't know for sure what we should do.

Well ADDs are the only way to classify footbag moves. hence we need them, but I recognise that they are not a mesure of difficulty. ADDs only give you the composition of a trick not its difficulty.
2 ADDs Bubba is much harder than a 3 ADDs Butterfly.

Hey Trochy,

you don't seem to be either very talkative, nor very funny.

I'm not trying to be funny. I just don't think adds have anything to do with freestyle anymore. And no, I don't have all day to spend posting on here.

i think the add system is fine, as long as you don't live by it. its nothing to strive for, but it does let us see what all is in a trick. it gives us a better understanding for a move, the we have not seen, or what not.

Hey Cole.
I was skating for like two years.. I stopped after worlds02.. before that i did it when i was like 10 or 11. We use to go off launch ramps and shit in my neighborhood. My favorite shredder skate wise is probably rodney mullen or tom penny. Yea ive seen Opinion by Globe, its awesome.. I got it off Kazaa. Another awesome one with Mullen is, ON video, winter 2002. it has everything of him.. on that opinion video i like olie up the picnic table to nose manuel, to 360 shove it to manuel, to nose manuel up the next table, nollie kickflip out.. myyy lord.... it was like 3 or 4 picnic tables. Ide love to see that 89 footage. Hes insane at freestyle!
Ironically my AIM address is ADDSMEANNOTHING....................
I heard Snowboarders being called "shredders" way back in the day. before i heard it for a footbagger.. but thats just me.. i think its awesome that we even fit in this category.. I think Tim Kelly shreds at juggling too..

yeah man, Tim Kelly's the shit and big inspiration for us minnesohatah folk
it's cool you picked skating back up though, it's the next best thing to footbag, undoubtedly. i gotta try to find that winter 02 vid though, is it on kazaa?...oh sheet, wait, my kazaa all fucked up to the firewire and beyond, so whatever. rodney mullen is most definitely the most insane person in the world! i haven't seen to much of tom penny though. but i'll try and get that vid to ya sometime on IM man. by the way, i think it'd be cool if everyone who had kazaa would put some shred vids up to share with the world. we gotta let the enlightenment begin sometime

I think one of the great things about footbag, presently, is the lack of risk of pain (other than, of course, in the knees and ankles.) It is a sport, much like flatland BMXing or skating, which is graceful and rhythmic, but that does not require one to withstand severe amounts of pain on many occasions to aquire any skill.

Street hacking would, inevitably, bring this physical risk in to the sport. Fuck that.

Have you ever seen a picture of Rodney Mullen's shins?
