Played twice today. Once at school with matt and again when I got home.
Both sessions were OK. I hit a 22 contact guiltless run with plo>plo and bsos peeking clipper, ducking clipper, some other shiz..
Matthew is really starting to struggle with clipper flatness. I am trying to get him to try inside delays, holding a clipper for a while, ss clippers (all the stuff Dan got me to do). It's almost that he thinks "if i cant do them now i will never be able to do them".
oh well

I am pissed with my flip spinning. Torques drifters ducks steps and whirls are all doing well.
I hit a downtime blender WOOOOOT, footed pdx blender (off the heel)

cya
Hopefully back one day.

Yo props jesse, cant wait to see you shred next.

I had a nice shred last night, just basically tried to hit ripwalk bsos as many times as i could. My shred is going well. I have gone off squash a fair bit. I would much rather shred and listen to music and do something i really enjoy.

Last night shred duration was 1 hr 45 mins

Total hrs shredding since monday is 4hrs.

I measured my hearth rate with my bosses blood pressure machine thingy majiggy.

It was 49bpm.

peace

Thats good Hagesy. I love hearing that people are keen to shred.

I played twice today, once during my break (50mins) and once after school (hour and a bit). Both sessions went well. I hit pixie dyno and footed spinning dyno, diving dyno and spinning symple whirl. My wheel bag pwns atm. I am drilling pretty hard now, getting some easier 3's down and schooling my flip toe. I hit some rad osis runs with spinning and ducking and all that jazz. Got 27 consec osis (my rec is 33) got 23 legovers first shot some other shiz. Blenders are going well now so are torques. My flip spinning is totally gone now :(

Played with Matt and Cam during the sesh at break. Cam gets distracted easily and he is VERY hard to teach (you have played with him at BCS hagesy [he was the quiet one]). He hit a nice paradon first shot and 6 consec osis. He also came real close to clip>pickup>dod. It looked sweet. I wish he would listen to me though because atm, hes going no where but i guess thats his loss. On the other hand, Matt is putting in the hard yards to getting better. He hit his first DATW in shoes today (in-out) and something else like mirage>opp toe>mirage>opp toe>legover>legover. He also hit 9 consec legovers. His clippers are sloooooowly coming along. They will be a big one for him to get past. I can't figure out why he isn't getting them very well. I think hes cusioning too fast and not giving the bag any time to settle. Anyway, I hope they click for him soon cause hes trying really hard.

last day of term tomorrow :D

Alex is coming to brizzy again soon!

Hopefully back one day.

When is alex coming to brisbane. If it is a date that suits, i could come down as well.

It is cool that you are getting others into it. They seem to be pretty good, how long has Matt been playing for. Does cam have a flipside.

shred duration 1 hr 15mins.

Just basically shred with all the components i have been drilling, namely, diving ducking pixies, osis, lots of alt butters, pdx mirages and stepping, they were all pretty consistent, and i am starting to hit some cool links blur>dlo, smear>dlo is a piece of cake. My shred feels really good and consistent.

Then for about 10 mins i worked on whirls and to my surprise i was hitting them pretty easily. I will drill them more tonight and then hit them bsos.

Life is great
peace

Total hours shredding since monday Sep 05 is 5hrs 15mins.

I've only played twice since logging off almost two weeks ago.
I think the break has done me some good because the last two sessions I've had (Monday night and Thursday night - both with foxy and the monday session with his neighbour, Brent) I've busted out really well, having a totally awesome time.
Last night, in particular, was a real night of spontenaiety. It started with foxy footing a spinning ducking osis that came out of no-where. It lead to so much more.
I've had some success with my osis, hitting 3 consecutively mid run. My stepping is still pretty poor, but I just need time.

On Monday we played at the squash court however, unlike every other time we've gone there, it was packed. Foxy, Brent and myself walked in all red-eyed - me a little paranoid, thinking we'd get thrown out with the courts being so buisy and us playing footbag.
During the session I was aware of people walking past the court and looking down on us - seeing what we were doing. I thought the complaints were beginning. Eventually, the woman who was running the place that night called out to us. We stopped playing and had a chat. She was supprised with what we were doing and ended up giving us $3 back (out of the $17.00 for the court). She's told us that we would be welcome to hold a competition there and seems really receptive of the sport.
So, come Thrusday night, it's buisy again. As foxy and I (red eyed, again  ) wait at the counter to pay for the court we booked, we see a guy getting turned away and told to wait untill 9pm for a court (I kinda felt bad because we weren't playing squash and he was keen to). Then, we get told that, instead of the $17 for the court, we could just play $5 each! She told us that from now on, she'd charge us $5 per person! We're stoked about that and are looking at getting a flyer set up to try to get some new people in - especially if we've got a new venue.
Now all we need is to see if we can bring in a boom box in on the quieter nights.

Good news about Alex comming up. Hagesy, you should definately try to make it down here at the same time.

Yewwwwww, $5 dollar squash court!!

Oi Gareth, I'm up for the shred tomorrow, ring me on my mobile tonight and we can organise it. If you have a small boom box with a tape player I can bring in my mp3 player and hook it up with this tape I have. I put some sweet shred mixes (off modified) onto it last night aswell as some other sweet songs.

BTW, I finished my video of when Alex came to QLD. Now I need somewhere to upload it.

Shredded today a couple of times. All seshs were about 20-30 mins long.
New stuff:
13 consec spinning clippers
toe set far motion bs
sooo close to bsos gyro whirl.

The corner of my toes are sore. Just on my big toe at the top to the inside really hurts if it gets a knock. I might just ignore it, hope its not an ingrown toe nail..

Matt had a bit of a shred this arvo with me. He was hitting legovers consistently as well as some mirages, illusions and clippers. He will get there. I lent him my footbag for the holidays.

YAY, today was the last day of school for 3 weeks!!!!
Shred is on

Fuck what is the date today.

I will try and book plane tickets for those dates.

I got my whirl consistent on my strongside, it hurts me on my flip. I will just give it some time.

Peace

Ta Gareth.

Check the vid out!

Shred with Gareth today:

Got to the saulsbury station at 11 expecting Gareth to be there. He wasnt, I had no credit to call him so I borrowed someones phone. Turns out his house was like a tiny walk and just around the corner, GOSH!
It started out like an ok day. I took a bit to warm up. We got staight into it with shred tunes pumping. My game was doing alright. I wasnt happy with my flip stepping. Gareth seemed to be doing well hitting stuff like bsos ripwalk (he was skooling his stepping and it payed off) and also another run with stepping opp legover and nearly blur. He footed drifter many times and was coming close to stuff like torque and pdx whirl.
I am happy with how I played today. I give myself about a 7/10. New stuff:

paradon>torque
pdx whirl>torque
blurry whirl>torque
rev swirl>torque
phoenix>torque
duckingbutter>torque
a crap load of other stuff> torque
consistent torques..
spinning ducking clipper>blurry whirl
a run with spinning ducking butter and spinning whirl to hand catch
a nice rev-up
tomahawk first shot
42 consec osii
oh yeah, and two other things
FLIP VORTEX
and...MY FIRST 5>5>5
PHOENIX>BLURRY WHIRL>PS WHIRL

yay

cya
Hopefully back one day.

You are a guru

Props gareth on your stepping, drilling pays off always.

I basically drilled my clipset drifters, my strongside is pretty consistent, flipside not so. I intend to hit it bsos tomorrow.

I learnt alot about myself this weekend

There are some things you want to be a part of, and some things you feel obliged to be a part of.
It just sucks big goat balls when the two conflict.
I've only reciently (in the last few hours) been invited to a party that I'd like to attend that is happening during an event that I've promised that I'd go to, although work demands subscribe me to a less than practical apperance.
What do I do?

'Garden State' is a great film I just watched it on DVD for the 3rd time. And I'm drunk and on the edge of depression.
I'm just glad I've got footbag.
Tonight has left me wanting to call in sick tomorrow.
I've over 111 hours of sick leave, so that's not an issue. The issue is the shit pile I'd be left to face on Tuesday if I did call in sick.
I tried playing CS:S to 'get over it', but it hasn't happened and I'm left with the urge to write. But to write what?
(Now I apologise to Hagesy and Jesse for what ever I shit out here... but I need to vent. You'll get over having this crap in our comunal blog ;) )
So there's this girl that I've liked for some time now.
And watching Garden State hasn't helped because 'Sam' reminds me of her. The kind of girl you can easily fall in love with. It's not about looks (although she's got it)... it's who she is.
And she's invited me to a party at her place.
Only problem is that I was invited to a camp-out - race thing - a long time ago. My best friend invited me to it in July.
I'm keen to go... but work demands mean that I wouldn't be able to make it. I would even consider having a sick day to go for the event (3 days).
However, earlier tonight I get a message inviting me to a party where I know so few people (but still, I know some) at a girls place that I've been (in love with) for some time.
Now, this girl... she comes along to the Monday night sessions Foxy and I have. She fire twirles and stuff. I met her a few years ago at University. I've told her that I really like her (she doesn't feel the same), and I often ignore her when shredding on a monday night when she trys to hold a conversation - because footbag is my sanity.
I doubt I'm making sence here.
I've polished off the second half of my bottle of Johnny Walker tonight... and I'm feeling it. Buy my depression demands I sink deeper.
It's 11:17pm and I'm supposed to be awake at 6am to leave by 6:30 tomorrow morning.
To be honest... I can't be fucked.
I feel like destroying the world, right now.
You know, I've often wished that there was an 'off switch' the universe! I wish I could flick this switch and everything would suddenly stop and cease to exist. It's kinda like suicide, but not. In stead of me dieing and the rest of the world going on... it would stop everything as it is.
Right now...
I'd hit that switch.
But then... the question stands.
As the switch is hit... that last moment... before time stops... wouldn't that essentually last forever? Therefore, wouldn't everyone's end be eturnal and everlasting? Is that fair on everyone?

I pause.

I wonder what use this post has in a footbag 'blog'.
Does it serve any purpose?
Maybe.

I know that it is, at least, supplying me with a point of expression. A point of release. It allows me to vent to the world... A kind of scream - telling the world that all is not ok.

Sigh.

It's monday tomorrow.
I play footbag on Monday.
At least I have that.
For with footbag... there are laws. Everything falls within these guidelines...

Newton is an arsehole for his three laws.
And yet he is a saviour.
How can it be that WE can be governed by these three laws... and yet... at least there is an excuse.

With footbag... there are set boundries. There in an envelope that cannot be breached - not even by Vasek.

But with life...
There is pain,
there is suffering,
there is disappointment,
and there is no excuse.

it just is so.

right now... life sucks.
