Mesh vs. Leather

Sup guys,

I'm in the market for some new lavers, and like just about everyone else, not looking to drop to much more than 40 if possible.

Iv heard about Lon from a few people, but appearently he only has leather. also been peeking at ebay here and there...

I'm basicly just wondering the major differances between mesh and leather... my current pair are mesh, and when i was looking for mods back in the day i remember seeing that you had to mod leather differantly.... so if someone has those links that would be cool.''

anyone out ther tired both? what were your thoughts? apprieciate any feedback

Mesh you can feel the bag better. and i think mesh are easier to mod.

Leathers can rip around the toe very easily, also, I notice very little difference in grip or thickness once they're both modded. Leathers are easier to mod, but the material will be sticky for a while after you cut them open.

I also heard somewhere, that the material you're left with after modding leather Lavers isn't as durable as mesh or even the canvas under the mesh.

that is true. Pat used to have lavers, and i had blue mesh. we started kicking with ours about teh same time, and mine definitley held up better than his.

my leather lavers are my favorite. No tears in the material, been using them over a year, the sole is starting to get holes though..

leather lavers are definitely a lot easier to mod and yah they are sticky until you get them dirty or color them with markers or something.

Leather Lavers, when modded to remove the outer layer, has a much more thinner material than that of mesh, but I kind of agree that there's a higher chance of it ripping than meshed Lavers. It all depends on surgery and how you wear out your shoe really. Its worth the investment.

I'm a fan of Meshed Lavers, whichever material that is left on when surgery is finished. Whether its the Mesh that's cut out or the inner canvas, its all cool with me. Its just that there's little to no ventilation with Lavers that have the canvas left on is all.
