Stalls'n'Dexes
Stalls'n'Dexes
I hope Jan is not mad at me for posting a direct link, but I figured that
since the Planet Footbag site is all german, it might be hard for
people to find the link..
Apparently, Planet Footbag together with Footstars Berlin is releasing a
german equivalent to the dated Tricks of the Trade. It's a DVD called
"Stalls'n'Dexes" and will teach you everything footbag.
The teaser looks AWESOME!! Big props to Jan and his Crew!!

Nice to see a professional quality DVD coming out.
How does he duck so well with so much hair? Nice.

Started with sparse low lines, built intensity with rythmic variety, went to 16th note lines in high register, than went to octives, than block chords for my last chorus... If you understood that last sentance than you should be playing music and not checking the internet.

I saw the video in Brussels the other day.
The editing / Lighting / video quality is exceptional.
You won't be hearing people say "wow we can barely see the ball/bag" with this video. I didn't follow all the instructions / explanations and talk as they were in German (except for a R.Mulroney interview) but what I saw on screen was really very good. Oh and some nice effects are thrown in there also. Although the tricks explained don't go to a very high technical level (basic 4s I think being the most technical) I wuold recomend this video to budding players.
Oh and they don't have 80s music or backdrops in this video either

i have to correct björn a little.
the video is featuring the "footstars" not the FcFootstar Berlin.
Footstars are like a german showteam/posse that inducts people every year....just like bap
well not really....we're people from all over germany mostly ff and berlin, tho + stefan s.
we also have some nongerman footstars as well, who are just all good friends of us and great performes such as ryan m., ali d., dexta, felnix, reni, karim....anyways the video is really very cool...
most shots were taken in aprofessional studio and they had like 8 cameras around the player, so they could make these fancy matrix-effects and stuff.
definetely much better than tott2

I can't wait to get this video. I saw the DSC in there, Jan Zimmerman, Ryan Mulroney, that red-haired guy from the jubi-shred video. Oh man, I'm so excited!

Are you the red-haired guy in the middle getting the props? If it is, good. I think you are really good and I especially like your style.

its already available @ planetfotbag.comwhere and when can I buy this?
i got it since 2 weeks or so and it really is the slickest thing out there by now.
especially the athmosphere and not-too-seriousness is a real plus for it.
jule´s smile is going to motivate the young upcoming quite good
i don´t like the music too much.. but well, thats a matter of taste.
one really big con in my opinion is that they missed to stress the rhythim-stepping-thing enough. (like, when you do consec.alternating toestalls)
i found that to be the most important part when advancing from circle kicker to freestyler. is there a common expression for that in english?
and the making of is so funny too... a shame its only in german at the moment. but maybe they will dub or respeak it for a international version.
