I agree that you should usually let somebody know if they the'ed a move after they finished their run, unless it's obvious that they completely missed the dex in which case you should shout "THE!" at least loud enough for them to hear it so they can stop what the're doing.

hahaha :D
that's funny man
i usually just yell it even if i'm not 100% sure...just to make people like juan get all self-conscious to the point where he's asking,
"do i drag my foot on my spins? do i? come on tell me...you asshole"
i know he'll love this post

I'm assuming they're just buddies. They have their own rituals, I guess.

i personally like to be told whether i am doing a the or not. However if I don't feel that i the'd it i'll continue on with my string until i drop it. I'm always waiting for someone to try to take the bag away from me midstring afterwards though. haha. god help them.

bob

ps- most badass thing i've ever seen during a the = jeremy benton is midstring at easterns this year, gets called on a the (can't remember who called it). Jeremy looks right at them midstring, keeps his eyes fixed on them, and says "oh really, i couldn't really tell," and then returns to looking at the bag. he at least performed 3 maybe 4 moves looking and talking to the person that called him on it. i was amazed.

id be amazed too!

and cole, if its a personal close friend, you can do whatever too. friends are cool like that. you can tell em to fuck off, and still be cool the next second.

I was just saying if i was in a comp run, and (i would be struggling anyway) and someone blurted out something, id not be a happy camper! (he hee, thats funnier to me, cuz my last name is Camper... :P )

take care all.

I particularly enjoy yelling `the!` when people do spinning osis, it often makes them do a baily move after if they brainfart.

Oh yeah, and um, arms are cool or something.
