The government will probably be the ones that come out with SUPER chronic. Heavily breeding the pure sativas and Indicas which are so rare nowadays. Everything is crossbreeded and we're starting to lose those 100% indicas and sativas. They're being crossbred into some heady herb but I sure do love pure breeds

I was sober the first 3 years of footbag and then drank and smoked for 8 years and am now sober again.

I don't smoke. Coffee is better for shred.

However, When I did smoke I thought smoking right before shred was the best way to do it.

im ex pot addict. Yes marijuana is addictive for some people who have alcholism in there family. My angle on this is not being picky towards the stoners this goes out to every co dependant (addict) out there.

Wake up open your eyes and realize you are not yourself. An addiction makes you who you are cause nothing else will matter for that stint of the addiction. No matter what it is it wont last and it will end badly. Relying on drugs, alcohol, pain meds, video games, SEX, Food (i mean in the over eating manner), and whatever else is BAD To try and feel happy and you only end up feeling hollow and unfullfilled.

It never ends nothing satisfies nothing is ever complete. No matter what is you do It will never be enough. I discovered the hard way that this is a horrible depressing way to live through life. All these people chasing euphorical mind states so that they can enjoy life and ignore there problems. Not that being alive is ever enough to be greatfull for anymore.

They call this generation the "me" generation cause they think were selfish i disagree. I call this The bored generation. No values no morales no realistic understanment of what truly matters in this world.

Every time i watch movies based in the old days it makes me sick to my stomach. Seeing the wholesome joy of experiencing life in first person instead of watching tv or playing video games or doing drugs. I feel jiped i feel like marijauna robed my child hood and left me with a horible attention span that affects me everyday as i try to make it as an adult trying to be a computer technician knowing i lack the common mental principles to function properly.

Still to this day after winning the battle of addiction, broken families, and depression i still dont feel like myself. I still think about pot i still feel like its a part of me I still feel like i will never be as happy as i was when i used to get high, I dare somebody to try and convince me that thats a good thing.

To sum up my feelings smoke a bowl in front of a mirror and ask yourself Who am i. Is this a hobby something you enjoy in moderation or is this my life. Ask yourself what are you without the pot.

We all have this society problem of saying "not me" well its a safe bet that those failures of a human existence once said and thought the same thing.

The reality of it doesnt matter its the way you wanna live life, doesnt mean its gonna be a good way. In the end all our rotting corpses look alike it really wont matter what you do from point A to point B We all drink eat shit piss fuck and die everything else is a Intangible distraction due to a species of creatures who have lost the fear of death.

So Whats your quality of life thats all that matters but dont try to make excusses for it and try to put yourself in a light that doesnt exist if thats the lifestyle you live stop trying to be proud of it. And try your best to do damage control and not fuck up anyone esles life along the way they would really apreciate that.

This is all based upon my personal experiences if im a ragging moron than at least im one who truly knows what i want out of life.

I dug the rest of your message, but I don't think this part is correct. You could say anything drug is potentially more addictive for people who have a family history of alcoholism.

That comes down to wether or not something is mentally or physically addicitive.

Typically anybody can become hooked to the physically addictive things IE haroine coke cigs and caffiene.

but typically studies have strongly shown the most likely person to become addicted to things that your body WILL NOT physically crave and rely on IE marijauna, sex (not in a normal way), alcohol, Cutting your self, shit like that is related to alcoholism in the family and or broken homes and of course whatever nasty terrifying things that seems to be happeneing to alot of people steering them down a path because there mind is mentally craving some kind of escape of reality and the reason these things are gateways to worse conclusions is because it will start loosing its affect after heavy/long term use.

Ok, the difference between physical and mental addiction for most practical purposes is a difference of severity, not of the actual locus of addiction. A mental addiction, if you really think about it, IS a physical addiction. It is just a different kind of addiction; being irritable and depressed after the cessation of marajuana use is caused by lower levels of dopamine and adenocholinergic compounds in the brain. The cessation of cocaine, on the other hand, causes the body to overstimulate your parasympatic nervous system and can cause severe anxiety attacks, heart attacks, stroke, ect. The more serious and life threatening withdrawls are, generally, caused by "hard" drugs, although anyone who uses marajuana for a long period of time will have some form of physical withdrawl. This is not just for people with an alcoholic family background, it is true for everyone. Granted, different innate physical tolerences will cause more or less noticable effects in an given individual, just as innate tendancies toward compulsive behavior will cause some persons to use a given drug more often resulting in more noticable withdrawl symptoms. Withdrawl, for those interested, is caused by the body attempting to moderate the effects of a drug. Alcohol, for example, causes one's heartrate and breathing to slow down, one's awarness of one's surroundings to decrease, and the lessening of inhibitions. The body, recognizing that alcohol is causing it to function improperly, begins to fight the effects; it attempts to increase heartrate and breathing, increase vigelence of one's surroundings, and increase inhibitions. When the body gets used to being subjected to the effects of alcohol for a long enough period of time, it begins to expect it. Then, when alcohol consumption is greatly lessened or done away with altogether, the body continues to fight against it's effect in it's absence. It expects that, any moment, more alcohol will be entering the body. The subsequent increase in heartrate ect., without alcohol to moderate, can cause heart attacks, anxiety attacks, and the like. With marajuana, the counter effects of the body are not nearly as physically damaging, as it does not really speed up or slow down your heartrate or other neccessary bodily functions. The withdrawl effects marajuana elicts (depression, melencoly, anxiety), however, last a long time in heavier smokers (one to three months), and it is difficult to achieve long term sobriety due to this period of depression and/or anxiety. Cool, peace. :)

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned before, but BrainP is correct - weed does have withdrawal effects, but they're not acute like the ones from coke or alcohol.

I'm pretty sure it's because THC is a fat soluble molecule, and so is stored in your soft tissues, unlike most drugs which are metabolized only in the bloodstream. Thus a very low level of THC leaks out of your fat and into your brain over the course of... well, I"ve heard a month, but apparently people i know have gotten drug tests after a week and come out clean, so I'm sure it's different for different people.

Mind over matter.

What is matter?

Matter not.

If you can't give up something that is bad for you, and truly want to quit, you should be ashamed of yourself. If you're actually stupid enough to think pot is good for you, you should be ashamed of yourself.

I quit smoking pot because of the other shitheads that did, people that I would become associated with. Almost everybody I hold a grudge with I met because I smoked pot. 3 1/2 years later some of them still call my house without identifying themselves, the word pot or weed is always used, I get pissed off, make sure to say something to piss the caller off (eye for an eye, right?), and hang up in a bad mood.

LoL now I'm in a bad mood thinking about potheads

i dont even think that what happen's to you from not smoking in a while can be called withdrawl effects, my friends mom is a nurse and i read in her medical journal that the only effects from not blazing is bordum, i believe it too cuz i stopped blazing for a month once and nothing even happened to me
