Post by Flippy »

I want to dye my lavers black, i was thinking about getting fabric dye at a hobby store. does the dye mess up the rubber soles? and if it does what do i use to cover them up?

I dunno if it stains the rubber, but if it were to do so, then cover em with duct tape.

If you masked it well enough, no.

Or use wax, if you can get enough.

I don't think you can use candle wax because it's too 'flakey', but I'm sure it really depends on the type of candle. Just use anything that will stick to your shoes.

Or, you know, you can get Painter's Tape at some Home Department store. They work pretty well in not seeping paint through.

I just used a green sharpie on mine because my shoes were white/green. The color is starting to fade, so I probably need to re-color them. I guess this is pretty irrelevent as I haven't dyed my shoes. If you dye yours, you should post them and show us how they look.
