Jap circle coming up soon

It seems that not many people picked up on what the typo in the newspaper was so I'll write out what was actually printed. I have some photos I will upload too. Sorry if this offends anybody - it might...
"ESCAPE CLAWS: Sydney's hero Nick Davis celebrates after kicking the winning goal in last night's cunt-throat semi-final win over Geelong."
... yes - I think either somebody was really pissed off at Geelong losing and was on their last day working or else somebody is about to get fired. For a conservative right wing family paper - that's a bit of a mistake to make....
Still it has helped break down censorship in Hobart and now everybody is saying "cunt-throat" at every opportunity
Oh I joined hi5 too. Not sure exactly why - normally I completely ignore all those kinds of things but I was bored and decided to do it
My link is http://www.hi5.com/i?l=KYLVMGA and feel free to become my friend. Lol that sounds so silly but anyway
I am soooooooooooooo excited about next month. I think pretty much I will be in a really good mood all this month regardless of anything.
Also I'm going to make a footbag to auction here at modified and will donate the money from the bag to a New Orleans charity group but I have about 3 or 4 bags to make still. Just thought I'd give a warning about that.

So had a really good kick today with Brian (Biran
) and James. As seems to be usual these days i was playing well. Have figured out how to step on both sides in board shorts now. Long guiltless runs - I figure i don't need to hit 2s when playing in boardshorts anymore and lots of cool moves. For some reason I was doing lots of flip side smudges which is cool since I usually never do them. It does feel really easy and consistant too. Also lots of midstring fives. My strong side eggbeater was feeling really solid - stepping and blurry happening well - which is cool in boardshorts. Tried floating set briefly and footed a few things out - could definitly hit some stuff with it if I gave it some time but uncertain at this stage if I will or not.
Bumped into a lot of people I knew - which I was annoyed at because I just wanted to play footbag not talk to people but I was friendly anyway. Oh some girls through 5 cents at us. (well dropped it at our feet). That really pisses me off - I don't mind if people come up, have a chat and give you some money (we weren't busking) but just throwing or dropping money is really rude in my opinion - especially such a small amount. I gave them a little bit of lip but nothing serious and did my best not to let it bother me.
Oh yeah i almost wiped out a kid in a wheel chair too. I was hitting a long run and went to do a mobius and luckily pulled out of it when I saw the kid - who was being pushed by their mom I guess and was about 10cm away from me at the time. That really put me off although I don't think I was to blame at all. If you see a guy jumping around with a small bag, I'd tend not to get as close to them as possible. Anyway I recovered from that too.
Going fire staff twirling tonight probably
So stoked about October - 17 days to go I think until I get to kick with Ken. Wow!!
footbag is the best.

So fire spinning was fun. I got some good tips and will school hard (with part of the vacuum clearner. Hopefully will be able to afford to buy a staff soon but I have lots of expences. Also had a night kick with James that was good - carried on my good form hitting some hard stuff - bedwetters, midrun frantic etc. felt good.
regarding money - if you're not busking and somebody just drops coins at your feet it's not just rude - it puts you off - and sometimes people throw coins too. I don't play for their enjoyment although I'm glad they enjoy it. I don't know - it's hard to explain, it just feels demeaning.

Send the coins to me! I will find them a good home where they are wanted.

im trying to get a handle on where i stand on this one. i understand how, if you dont have a hat or something out, and arent 'busking' that you might be offended, especially by the method of giving, but maybe she was just shy or misunderstood, or maybe im talking about a situation i dont have much background on. but i dont think i would be too offended...i would just use that as a cue to put out a hat...i have done it before, at any rate.

yeah throwing the money back at them is a good idea
- I think you've got to have it happen to you to understand how rude it is.
I've been playing footbag for over 4 years now and I've come to the realisation that when somebody comes up and asks about the sport 99.99999% of the time it's a waste of time talking to them. The only people who have started playing because of talking to me - sat and watched for a really long time (and I went and talked to them) or actually joined in. For that reason I've decided not to waste my time - especially when I'm playing by myself - and to just play with headphones on and not talk at all.
I had a nice short solo session today. Interupted by people wanting to talk to me but fun. My bag has a hole in it (probably from too much circle kicking while it was wet on Saturday) and has lost most of it's filler so that's annoying - it is way too light now. I played well as usual though - actually the middle patch was a bit average but the first few runs were good and at the end I put on my favourite trance mix track (The Chocolate Room - Punk Kidz - not sure who it's mixed by) and hit a fucking awesome run really long, all guiltless and lots of fives and hard moves finished with pdx blender>hand catch looked up and about 30 people had stopped and were applauding
- there are probably only about 100 people in the mall in Hobart usually so that was cool.
At work now but in my break. Had a rewarding outcome in getting some bank details from a very old woman (it took about 5 calls - first her, then bank then her again, then bank etc.) and finally I figured it all out
Oh I finished a sweet bag today and am half way through another. I've just changed my design so they are smaller and less floppy. This is specifically so I can hit sailing ducking sets better. I've also decided not to sell outside of Australia or our region (Oceania I guess) unless the person is convincing - just because there are so many good stitchers out there and the postage etc is expensive and I'm lazy in making bags. I'll still do the ones I have orders for of course and if people are very convincing I may sell them a bag.
Ok need to get coffee now
(third for the day
)

Had an ok kick today with Jorden. Jorden has practiced during the week!!!! (that's like a first) and has hit symp mirage
. James and Brian were going to come too but James had his Dad's car stolen...
I played ok but not amazing - a few good runs though. I tried to break my ps whirl record which is only 4
but couldn't. I think it's more mental than anything else - I can hit 2 starting on either side almost all the time and three a lot of the time but struggle to get 4 and obviously haven't got more yet. Still I think if I practice it more I'll get better. My flipside still feels fairly high energy while my strong side is almost a bail. Spoke to some girls who were street canvassing for the Save The Children Fund I think - one of them had seen me before and was really stoked on footbag (or on me
)- she was like a 9 out of ten too
. If I see her again I may follow her up...
I was too lazy to fix my footbag but brought along a bag of metal shot and re filled my bag at regular intervals. Bit of a waste but I do still have about 9.6 kg and that includes giving 200g to Alex... A girl also came up and asked for $1.20 for a bus to Blackman's bay. Jorden gave her $2. We talked about it afterwards and agreed that she probably wanted the money for drugs. I then decided that from now on that if anybody starts talking to me when I'm playing footbag that I will ask them for $1.20 for a bus to Blackman's Bay although I still haven't decided what to do with the money if they give me any (donating it to charity probably, or throwing it at people who throw money at me, or just giving it back). I think that's about it.
So just a quick update. Massive party last night - only 2 hours sleep. Had a good shred today despite the hang over and lack of sleep though. Awesome weather - was playing in short shorts too for the first time in a few weeks I think. Hitting nice stuff - no big highlights though. PS whirl>symp whirl for the first time I think (done with the second move with the uptimish dex - as opposed to an all downtime symp whirl - which I'm sure I could do and probably have done much easier) - anyway it leads me to believe I should be able to hit some barraging stuff out of ps whirl and will try that later. Hit a new 4 dex too.
Massive turn out - 2 large circles happening, plus juggling, four square, people just chilling and watching and a 3 piece choir
. Some cool stuff went down. Dom - a guy I played with years ago who plays barefoot (and I haven't seen in a really long time) randomly showed up and had a quick kick. He hit dimwalk>pdx mirage - as the highlight. Although his dimwalk is so cool. I guess it's a bit like a toe set ss da da curve - but the first dex is still uptimish and he keeps the second dexing foot planted the whole time - but it's still definitely a clean dex in my opinion. Very very stylish move.
Tony (another new guy) hit heal stall>squeeze a few times - which was very cool. Ryan (another new guy) was hitting pixie sets and some other cool stuff. James and Jorden played well too. Stephen - a guy I played with years ago was busting some really cool stuff too - like spinning flying outside kicks (super stylie). Raff's juggling was getting better. Oh we had a cd player too. There were probably about 15 - 20 people connected with the HFC down there today
. I'm definitly going to make some flyers to give to people this week.

Not yet but I will
Remembered a funnier quote though - which needs to be used every time somebody looks upset.
So at the party the other night - which was the cast party for a musical production and full of young delicious dancing girls. Anyway there was this one girl who looked disgustingly anorexic - skeleton face style. She broke up with her boyfriend or something and was sitting on the couch crying etc. This guy comes up and sits next to her and says: "What's wrong? You ate too much?"
