Yeah, I suck at lots of tricks on my flipside, especially my flip toe game

You guys would probably be way better then me after spending same amout of time on practice.

So today was a crazy day - we set up a shred session in Wrocław's South Park. The weather was perfect - shining sun and blue sky. We played for about an hour, and then it started to rain lightly.

"The sky is not very clouded - it will stop raining soon for shure." - that's what we said and kept shredding. The rain kept falling down, and getting stronger. The funny thing was that the sun was shining at the same time

After some time shredding became difficult, so we moved under a big tree. The ground around it was still dry. And then all hell broke loose

Thunders, wind and canonade of water attacked us. We fought back bravely, still hitting runs and trying to see the bag through the wall of water... Sadly, after some casualties (my bag felt into enemy territory) we had to retreat. We reached shelter under some big tent, and ignoring the wounds (drenched clothes and shoes

) started wielding the blades again. Shredding was hard, but we didn't gave up. When it stopped raining we came back to our spot and played some 4Square to show our enemy that our morale didn't got any lower

. The victory was on our side.

I footed Spinning PS Eggbeater, and hit a run with Janiwalker > Blurry Drifter. Some more Torquescrews, maybe I'll start hitting this trick in runs. Blurry Whirl > Stepping Whirl BSOS was nice too.

And then it started to rain again

That's when I decided to return home, as I was getting really cold

Hardcore footbag sessions are the best

Good session, even though I was pretty tired, and couldn't really control the bag

One of my friends got a bit too furious during basketball match in school and he incidentally smashed me into the floor - my hip hurts a bit. New stuff:

Not shure about the last one, it felt more like Gyro Symp. Swirling. It would be nice to hit Symp. Whirling Gyro Mirage

My flip Pixie is getting better, today I hit 14 Pixie Legovers, 8 contacts of Smear > Pixie Legover, Muted Pixie Clipper > Pdx Whirl > Stepping Legover (rpt), and Muted Pixie Clipper and Pixie ss Clipper BSOS

I worked on all this stuff because my runs were really off today, I lacked control and balance. I also worked a little bit on my flipside Eggbeater. If I would hit it, that would be a big milestone, because that's the only trick from my basics list that I cannot hit on both sides.

So, I finally played today, it was a pretty good session. I schooled my routine and I almost remember all of it. I tried some fearless links and was really close to Blurry Whirl > PS Whirl > Spinning Pdx Whirl BSOS. The final Whirl was on my foot

. Tomahawk > Spinning Pdx Whirl was a nice link too, I think I hit it for the first time. I'm getting the motion for Superfly on my flipside, maybe I'll be able to hit it soon.

I hit PS Whirling Swirl again and cleared the dexes for Swirlwind. It would be a really nice trick

When you say swirlwind, do you mean whirlwind with a swirl on the end? Because Ive always called that trick "whirlwind swirl." Now, if youre talking about a swirling set whirlwind, thats what I call "swirlwind." So, who is right on this one? And which one are you close to?

Yes, I was going for Whirlwind Swirl. Actually, my feelings about the name Swirlwind are the same as yours, but since I saw the name used for Whirlwind Swirl (I think Nick from Montreal hit it) I called it this way. But, names are not so important I guess.

Whirl, Symp. Whirl, Pdx Whirl, Barfly, Drifter, Pdx Drifter, Torque all BSOS

I was sooo close to Spinning Pdx Blender b2b. I found out that by doing the dex closer to my body I could hit Blender easier and faster. I got the set a few times but always missed the last Blender

I worked on my routine too, it's getting better.

about swirlwind ...

Back on the flipsider forums when I first started playing I thought one of the coolest moves would be whirlwind swirl, so I posted asking if anyone had hit it. At the time I called it swirlwind cause I thought it was a sick name (I am not sure if anyone had referred to it before then as swirlwind). So I kept on referring to it as in a few different posts and eventually heard that Nick L. from montreal had hit it. Since then I have heard other people refer to it as swirlwind as well. Maybe the name makes no sense and maybe I wasn't at all responsible for that name but if that is not the case then its weird that I got to name a trick without being the first to hit it

Ok, about today's session. We played outside, so it was a nice change. I hit some new stuff:

Food Processor > Torquescrew
Nemesis > run with Janiwalker almost BSOS

Spinning PS Eggbeater

I cleared the dexes for Symp. Whirling Nuclear Butterfly, it's a totally posible trick, I just need to get the set a little higher. Maybe I should try Flareal ss Mirage first.

To test my ability to focus while shredding I tried to recite a really long poem ("Reduta Ordona") while going guiltless

I got about 22 verses and then almost died because of beeing unable to catch my breath

That was pretty fun

And tommorow is Sunday and I don't have to go to school! Life rocks!

Thanks a lot Maraxus! From what I've been reading in your blog, you're hitting some hardcore stuff too!

Highlights from today's session:

flip Double Spinning Clipper
flip Pdx Eggbeater
Whirr BSOS
Montage Rake
Double Pickup BSOS
Blurry Whirl > Whirr

The atmosphere was great today, there were 4 people playing, and everyone had a good day. Some good strings were hit by everyone

I tried to hit Food Processor > Blurry Whirl > Mullet, but got only to the set for Mullet. But my Stepping after Pdx Blender definitely improved. I'm having great fun with toe game, I'm starting to use more toe tricks in my repertoire.

I tried some Street Freestyle for fun, and managed to shred 3 stairs with Pixie Legover > Pixie Legover > Butterfly proceeded by a small run. Street is definitely fun

you know shreding with Ian and me and going to the beer festival,
and like that i could thank you in person....:

i can hit drifter now, both sides, no effort

I was at school, and since i pulled a muscle in my thigh the previous
session, i could only work on "softer" moves like swirl and diving clipper.
Then i was like, what about drifters ? i never worked on them since
euros...
Suddenly i heard your voice in my head, asking me if i can hit drifter
and i had a clear memory of how you explained it to me at euros,
i gave it a shot, and bammm : flip drifter after 3 tries

So, pretty laid back session today, I mostly schooled dexless and some random stuff. Highlights:

run started with Ducking Clipper > Spinning Clipper > Diving Clipper > Spinning Clipper (rpt), both Spinning Osii and Ducking Clipper > Diving Clipper (rpt) > Spinning Clipper > Peeking Clipper (rpt)

I think I hit flip Blurrier for the first time today. My bag has a hole

I have to patch it somehow.

Shoe goo works really well for patching up holes Szymon! Just dab some on and then wipe the excess with a tissue. Very strong and after a day or two of shredding (and a bit of fore play with the hands) it gets to be pretty flexible.

I don't really know what is the polish equivalent of shoo goo, but here we use a glue called butapren for patching up holes

So I had a session today, it was good, there were 4 people playing, so we had a nice circle going on. I hit some new stuff:

Blurry Torque BSOS
Mobius and Spinning Pdx Whirl BSOS
flip Bedwetter

So today I finally hit all the tricks from this list:

on both sides. Only flip Bedwetter was missing and I hit it today. It felt fantastic, and it's a big milestone for me. My flip Pixie is getting better, today I hit Dimwalk > Blur (rpt) > Smear > Pixie Legover (rpt) > run, and Stepping ss Mirage > Parkwalk (rpt). Stepping ss Illusion is a cool trick. Fog is getting easier too.
