Tomorrow is my first day of being a professional. I am a bit nervous tonight as I go to sleep and I know Ill be freakin out as I make the 40 minute commute to the Gilroy Unified School District tomorrow morning. I feel like an imposter in a world in which I dont yet want to belong
My days of fun are over . . . bring on the mental drudgery of the 8:30-4:00. I am excited tho . . . this is what Ive wanted to do for more than 10 years now . . . so I guess its about time that I get to it!

Lately, I havent been diligently updating my blog after every session, but this is definitely worth a post. One week ago, I decided that I was no longer happy with hitting barfly 50% of the time. I have decided to master the move, to be able to hit it Chad D-esque, Scott Davidson-esque, Ales-esque. it is sch a beautifyl move, and such a great feeling move that there is no reason not to completely dedicate myself to the mastery of this move for at least 3-4 weeks, or as long as it takes so that I can hit this move mid-run, confidently, 9 out of 10 times.
Over the last 7-8 days, I have definitely takent he first few steps in this process. In my last 5 sessions, I have HIT at least 30 barflies on each side, probably more like 50 or 60, and have attempted approximately 80-100 on both sides. Additionally, I have practiced linking them into and out of eachother, and other moves. So far, my favorite drill has been 8 infinities> barfly>barfly>8 infinities>barfly>barfly, which I hit today. Over the last several session, Ive hit 3 consec. barflies at least 30 times, 4 consec barflies a handful of times, and 6 barflies once. Today, I hit 7 consecutive barflies, which is my record. Unfortunately I was unable to play out of the last one because I barely hit it and the set was low and uncontrolled. All in all, I just want to express how good it feels to take a move, try it lots and lots, and then get really good at it so that you can hit it at will. I am almost there!
When I am there, I will be able to hit 20 consecutive barflies. I will be able to link 5-10 barflies consistently. I will be able to hit barfly>barfly in my sleep. I will be able to hit barfly into and out of most other moves ending on clipper, although Im not currently focusing on this achievement.
For those who've read this far, I had a session with Emily Kulczyk today. We had a lot of fun, although she didnt play awesomely and I yelled really loudle from frustration on several occasions. The highlight of her session was hitting clip set drifter>drifter>drifter, her first time linking 3 drifters. She was really happy, which was awesome. As for me, I hit a lot of pretty good stuff, nothing impossibly crazy cool. I had a couple long-ish runs, but mostly in the teens, pushing genuine shuffly links and dbl downs. Of note however, I did hit one run with approx twenty consecutive symposium moves, just the basic ones tho (symp mirages and pixies bs). It went something like: symp mirage>symp pixie>symp mirage>symp pixie>symp pixie>symp pixie>symp mirage>symp mirage>symp mirage>symp mirage>symp pixie>symp mirage>symp mirage>symp mirage>symp mirage>symp mirage>symp mirage>symp mirage>symp mirage. That felt good, and I wasnt even tired after it-if I hadnt dropped, I could have hit at least 15 more contacts of it.
All in all, good skooling, good shredding, good doubles, good props slaps, fair attitudes, fair-good music (w/ the exception of one X-rated song I was appauled at), good fun.

Innovation
I shredded for about 5 minutes, and put together this 96 second clip. No fancy editing, no effects, just plain, hard footbag innovation. Please leave comments in my blog ONLY IF they are exceptionally praiseworthy of my antics. Otherwise, PM me with modest praise or criticism please. Enjoy!

Had an intense session in my garage tonight, 50 minutes or so. Few notable things were hit, but I did manage 21 ducking clippers (personal record) and this unprepared genuine combo: barfly>pdx dlo>paradon>bubba beater> toe drifter. I also hit 11 ripwalks, well below my record, but it felt good. I also practiced barflies again, and flip paradon a bit. I hit dimwalk>sidewalk> ripwalk>blizzard>toe blur on my strong side, and the first 4 moves of that same combo on my flip, although they both took several tries, which was
The bright note: I invented a new game to challenge myself. I take a move i want to hit (today it was ripwalk), and give myself 1 chance to hit 1 ripwalk. If I succeed, I get two chances to hit 2 consec ripwalks, then 3 chances at 3 ripwalks, 4 at 4, and so on. I made it up to attempts at 10, but couldnt manage to hit 10 when I needed to. I should mention that if you fail to hit the number specified in the number of tries you have, the game ends. To really get your heart pumping, do not take breaks in between milestones (i.e., go straight from 1 to 2 to 3 to 4 to 5 without pausing after failures). I like it because it makes me work hard, under pressure.

2 fun sessions with Amelia, Cameron, Bryan, Emily, and Dat. Everyone was playing pretty well or very well. I managed to hit janiwalker>ps eggbeater, paradon>ps dlo, and full symp blur. Also, I hit whirr ending on outside stall and another whirring swirl. I also hit a lot of barflies and other various dbl. down moves.
Had so much fun this weekend and now Im very sad that it is over and I must return to the world of hard labor.

Skooling session
Second Skooling Session of September:
-grifters (attempting consecs)
-triage (attempting to hit cleanly)
I hit a bunch of cool new 2 trick links tonight, which you'll see on video prolly within the week, no good runs tho, legs feeling pretty dead from the night before, when i primarily skooled run length.

Just came in from a session with the real Phanzine. It was pretty fun. Unlike other people I sometimes play with, Dat will ALWAYS try the combos I call out for him
Anyway, I hit some pretty good stuff today, good for me anyways. I was reaaally proud of the foillowing things:
-14 tripless (not unique tho b/c i repeated blurs and ripwalks). I had never before even hit 10.
-janiwalker>ugly bs blur
-tripless runs of 7-10 contacts on about 10 occasions
-step butt>pdx whirl>whirling swirl>dyno
-clip set dlo>atomic whirl (a challenge from Dat)
-flip mobius to handcatch
-"Dat, how many tries will you give me to hit toe flurry?"
"Four."
"Four? That's it?"
"Yeah."
"Okay. (try one: drop) (try two: hit to handcatch). Did I hit it?!"
"It looked clean."
"(Kneeling punch scream) Yeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh! I can't believe it. Ive never hit that before! Holy moly." Soo . . .
TOE FLURRY!!!!

-spinning swirl 4 times at end of session
-toe flurry 3 more times (video to come tomorrow)
-jani>blurriest
-long guiltless run of prolly 30 contacts or so in a small space, prolly half bails tho
-lots of barfly practice
-7 dlos in a row

I don't know why you haven't gotten more comments. You've hit some very prop-worthy things in your last entries. Way to go.
You're so motivated; it's great to be around. Thanks for the suggestions during the session tonight.

A run I hit:
L clipper>R clipper>2 L clippers> 2R clippers> 3 clippers>3 clippers>
4 clippers>4 clippers>5 clippers>5 clippers>6 clippers>6 clippers>7 clippers >7 clippers>8 clippers>8 clippers>9 clippers>9 clippers>10 clippers>
10 clippers>11 clippers>11 clippers>12 clippers>12 clippers>13 clippers>13 clippers>14 clippers>14 clippers>15 clippers>15 clippers> 41 alternating clippers>drop. In total, 281 consecutive clippers
if my math is correct.
Also inspinning clipper bsos for the first time i believe. Also back to back, again, but not quite.
L clipper>R clipper>2 L clippers> 2R clippers> 3 clippers>3 clippers>

EDIT: please dont reply to this blog with a post immediately after this one. Just continue underground reading as you normally do, never voicing your props, that is if you even think that i deserve them, because I REALLY want to be the first person to post on the next page of my blog. Thanks in advance. Im serious tho, I want to start off the new page, k, bye. Oh, and Mitko, if you read this, that Oasis thread was a joke about posters on this forum who mis-spell move names, who ramble on and on trying to explain something but fail miserably, and who use horrible punctuation or none at all in the attempt. I was actually talking about an OSIS.
