The last few years we have been developing an awesome event. It has potential to get up there with Chilly Philly, CSS, etc. IMO. We've had some notable people come out, and pretty good turnouts. There is always lots and lots of fun, especially at night - parties and night jams! - in the vast expanse that is McCormick Place.
The event takes place in a big convention center. They have the auto shows there every year too. The place is packed with every kind of sport out there, and you can try them; there are alot thast are interactive. Tens of thousands of people come through there. And we got our spot!
The jam happens in between Christmas and New Years Eve, so don't worry about missing your family on the actual holidays.
CIC will be adding alot to this event this year. We have been brainstorming ways to make the event awesome for everyone.

Events: mostly a JAM as the name implies. There will also be crazy massive 4-Square as brought to you by mastermind 4-square coordinator, Zeke, Sick 1/3, maybe (exhibitional?) shred 30, and rippin run.

The hotel is huge and fancy. The convention center where all the sports will be is attached to the hotel. You don't have to drive to the jam. Just wake up and walk on over through the hotel. Rates are discounted for us - $79 (normally $120). Mention "Mayor Daley's Holiday Sports Festival" for the discount.
I've called a few times, and the discounted rate is sometimes not available for one of the nights, but then one opens up. If that's the case, just reserve one night then call back in a few days and get the other. Instead, you can just reserve online and get the discounted rate of $89. There are thousands of people that are coming for their respective sports, and the hotel may sell out; don't wait till last minute! The discounted rates are already almost gone!
