Props to the guy for the effort, but, lets face it. It's not THAT extreme. Juggling with knives or fire clubs isn't seen as extreme.
Allan is probably the most extreme freestyler I've seen footage of and I'm not sure Allan call what he does as extreme, either.
Again, props to him for the effort, but he's got a long way to go.

B) X-Games (Tons of People)
While freestylers are on modified.ca laughing...

Dont get me wrong, this guy seems like a hack, but all i hear on this site is lets make footbag a real sports, lets make it bigger, and this guy is performing on what appears to be the actual street skate course of the X-Games...

I think the problem is that it's not a true representation of what freestyle footbag is. Footbag is not an extreme sport. It's all about expression, not death-defying. And the skills that he's demonstrating are way below par with what the majority of the footbag community have. The perfect argument is now a running joke in this thread.
If Allan Hagget were up there, hitting Superfly off a picknick table, or his DOD>Gyro Mirage, or Blur>Dimwalk down 6 steps! well, that would be a different story because it is a true representation of freestyle skills.

That's another point. That even with trials, it's about using what you find... not building a big course...G: I'm actually thinking about building a basic stair and platform set to
practice around.
A: I've thought about doing this, but lack the time, resources and/or desire.... I find it fun to go out and find new spots. It appeals to the skater in me.
I was going to use an analogy of what professional race car drivers must think of street racers... but I'm not sure if everyone would agree with me on that.

Hey Jeremy!
Thanks for checking out XtremeFootbag.com. I know all about the best
freestyle, I don't feature it on my site because thats not what I am
best at. The site has only been up a month but I would like to add a
freestyle section (not of me). I sent Allan a video about 4 years ago
of some basic stunts, he was the first serious freestyler to pick it up
so I can't wait to see these videos.
In the end Xtreme Footbag is about a competition taking a run through an
obstacle course being judged on stunts and freestyle 50/50. You have to
perform tricks between the stunts.
I did a demo at the X Games in Phila and Ellis was there for the week.
That was the only time I met him and I was glad that he got to see what
XF is really about because I respect him. The sponsorship possibilities
are huge if you can cross into the action sport area. And stunts are
really fun and challenging. I just taped a stunt (Not on the site yet)
in Atlantic City, NJ.. hitting three consecutive sets of 15 stairs. It
took me over 20 takes to hit all three flights.

In my opinion he's doing more to promote footbag than about 90% of people on this forum and despite my initial joke I think it's great - I wouldn't get seriously into "extreme footbag" - but it's great that he's into it and promoting it. It's certainly interesting to hear people who play a sport as misunderstood as footbag to bag out other sports - perhaps more of a reflection of the character of some people then a reflection on "extreme footbag"

Umm, this kinda sounds like he thinks he got me into doing it. Does anyone else read it that way? or am I just being overly defensive? Yeah, I don't really care all that much. I just read it and said "huh?" and simply wanted to note that I definitely wasn't inspired by Kenny to do what I do. I don't want that to come across as bad as it might read, but I felt compelled to say it.
It's obviously not a big deal and I'm not going to bother emailing him about it or anything like that.
And all I was really saying in my edited out comments were that I think Kenny's energy is great and that, indeed, I wish more freestyler's had the same motivation to actually do something other than chat on this forum.
