edit: i check at school how much of my tuition i would get back if i withdrew from all my courses right now, but it was more tthen i was willing to part with. If it had been last friday, i would have gotten back 100% of my tuition and would have used it to buy my ticket to aus. what a difference a week makes. fuck!

Just thought I'd give a quick report about this.
So the demos are now finished. Well there are two internal demos left in January but basically it's all done
Overall we showcast footbag to approximately 90,000 people live - which is fantastic, especially when you consider the flow on effect from the people they talk to etc. Even if not many people play, it will still lead to many more people knowing about the sport. Ken and I also appeared live on national TV (foxtel).
I think the campaign also managed to inject a lot of renewed energy into the Australian scene in general - especially Sydney and has given me a lot of motivation which is great. Having travelled to 3 of the 4 major footbag scenes in Australia (and living in another), I think footbag in Australia is doing very well. There have only been serious freestylers in this sport for 8 years in the country I think so I think things are looking really good - there are some very competetent and active organisers or potential organisers in the sport here and everybody seems to have a great attitude of involvement.
It was also fantastic to have Ken down and lots of fun. I'm glad he got to play with a lot of the players as I think they got a lot from getting to play with somebody different.
Overall I think the impact of this promotion was fantastic. Of course there's still a bit of admin work to go and the possibilities of more and bigger promotions in the future but I'm also really glad things are over. I don't think I've ever been as exausted as I have been for this last 6 weeks. Being on a plane taking off and landing couldn't wake me up today. Personally I'd say this is one of the best experiences of my life and well worth the work put in. I also feel like I've learnt a lot and should another promotion like this come up, I think we could do an even better job
