Really nice video!
Michal, you got some pretty sick runs, very solid and both sided. It had some boring parts where you just do drills, but otherwise it was a pleasure to watch your game.
Wiktor ihad some nice stuff too. Blurry Whirl b2b and that last Sick3 was insane! Are Wiktors Merlins clean? Any of them didn't look clean to me...

Anssi: I saw Wiktor`s Merlins in live, and they look clean usually, for sure...
Awesome video! Cool editing by Wiktor, and superb shred by both of you. I would like to play more with you, but I'll have to wait a little bit.
Wiktor improves realy well, though he isn't the youngest (I don't mean that he is old ;], Don't get me wrong). It's so cool...

I agree. All Merlins on this clip are on my flipside. I can`t feel if the dex is deep, but still, I saw it frame-by-frame and there`s dexterity. I know I have to work on it.
Thanks for the replies.

Great vid! Both of you guys are definitely awesome shredders
Cod's game was as always really nice to watch - your style is one of my favourites - so fast and precise, with lots of unique stuff. I won't comment on Alpine Dominatrix
Wiktor is totally progressing - it's good to see that you are eliminating those guilts
Props for Pigbeater and that last Sick3 (not to mention Pixie Ducking Merlin)
As always, video from Warsaw = something worth seeing

Good stuff. I'm really happy to see good string length out of you Cod. I also love how bottom heavy Wiktor is, yet he hits dexes so lightly.
Cod, it would be great to see something more with your clippers and some spins as well. You only used your right clipper a few times and never your left. I fear that if you don't get them involved more frequently your toe game will begin to look and feel boring.
Props on the good stuff though. Seriously!

It's because my strongside Clipper is injuredSplint wrote:Cod, it would be great to see something more with your clippers and some spins as well. Sweet video. The alpine toe move was awesome (you know what I'm talking about). The pixie dex was so tight I almost missed it. Great stuff!
I really think it's a bad idea playing injured and I agree with Brad about more clipper stuff. I think it would be in your best interests to have a break till you can clipper with your other foot and then to school clipper moves a bit - but only do this if you want to and you want to impress people. The toe stuff is really cool but I think Brad said it right when it really cuts down on your options. For example I don't think there is any footage ever of me hitting pixie ducking pickup even though this is an easy move for me that I can hit back to back on demand. I could hit countless combos using that move and keep people interested with that move. Fury>pixie ducking pickup>pixie torque or bedwetter>pixie ducking pickup>predator or whatever - I believe I have a very strong toe game - but I also have a fairly solid clipper game and that more than doubles my options for combos etc. Sometimes I still only hit toe runs - I think my toe guiltess record is well over 30 now but sometimes I also only hit clipper runs. Usually I use both fairly equally.

It strikes me that people will hardly ever point out that someone plays only on his/her clippers (ie. does few or no toe tricks).
On the other hand, Cod does mainly toe tricks (albeit injured) and people point this out immediately.
Why not let the man be? I found it very refreshing to see some genuine toe play.
EDIT: shite! After a day I have finally realised I have seen Wiktor play before! He's the guy from the FC Footstar special, right ("Hallo, ich heisse Wiktor...")? He has REALLY progressed since then.

It's really nice to read such words. Yeah, it's the same Wiktor. "Hallo, ich heisse Wiktor und das ist meine Maedchen GosiaEDIT: shite! After a day I have finally realised I have seen Wiktor play before! He's the guy from the FC Footstar special, right ("Hallo, ich heisse Wiktor...")? He has REALLY progressed since then.

Scott Davidson has been criticized hard over the years (especially in his tripless bid) because he has had virtually no toe game for years. He answered that criticism by incorporating more toe moves and became one of the best in the World.
Toe tricks have become huge in the past few years, pretty much since Sunil came on the scene. On the FLipside, at one point Sunil was criticized greatly for being too much of a toe player without enough spins, ducks, clippers or even osis moves. He too became one of the greatest players of the game.
The point is that it's great to specialize in something, it distiguiches a player greatly to do so. Look at what Jon Schneider did to Dragon moves. However, it is extremely difficult to become a GREAT player if you are not also a well rounded player.

Wow, what a discussion!
Brad, I'm new at footbag (about 2,5 years) and I didn't know Sunil Jani was at first only a Toe2Toe player and then after some criticizm become an "universal" player. I also didn't know about Scott Davidson (actually I don't know who this guy is
).
Believe me please that I don't want to do only Toes. After the injury (the accident has taken place about 3 month ago while hitting flipside Whirl) I'm not able to hit the moves on my strongside Clipper. It's sad noone remember my older footage where I've busted Whirls, Spinning Clippers/Butterflies/Legovers/Mirages, both Butterflies, both Ducking Clippers, both Steppings... Now I can't do that. I'm working on it but it's hard and I'm really mad when I do a good movement for the Clipper trick, but I can't delay it. Shit happens!

I tell it to you all the timeBalinorNZ wrote:Personally I hate pixie and butterfly and I don't do either, and nobody is gonna tell me to change my game
It really adds some spice when game has many components, so it's good that people tell someone what he should add in his game. Partly that's one reason why people put out vid, isn't it?

You're right though, I think if you put out a video you should expect some people to suggest things for your game, but just because someone tell you that you ahve to learn this set and this downtime component doesn't mean you should
