Man lived with dead mother for five years

MARSEILLE (AFP) - A 60-year-old man shared a two-room apartment with his mother's corpse for five years, concealing her death so he could receive her pension, French police said.

Intrigued that the woman born in 1904 still received social security payments, social services in the Mediterranean port city of Marseilles asked police to investigate.

The suspicions of officers arriving at the home of the woman who should have been more than 100 years old were increased by a nauseating stench,

police said Saturday.

In response to police demands, the woman's son opened the door to reveal a small rubbish-strewn apartment and the remains of his mother who died of natural causes five years ago.

The 60-year-old jobless man admitted he did not tell anyone she died so he could continue receiving her pension.

He told police he went as far as imitating her frail voice behind the closed door whenever rare visitors came by.

Police said the man, who seemed to suffer from a mental disability, was referred to the prosecutor's office and told he could be charged with concealing a corpse and fraud.

The man was released on bail.

Thats pretty disturbing. Is it really worth living with the corpse of your mother in a small apartment, just for a little money? i mean id rather get some crappy job that would probably bring in as much as the pension. damn.

lol i heard this about something like this that happened a long time ago.
this young lady got some kind of diaese and died young. then her doctor who loved her dug her up after the funeral and like took out her organs and wired her skeleton, and turned her into a sex doll....yeah. thats disturbing.

That's kind of a weird dream.

My dreams usually consist of things that could possibly happen in real life, and a lot of times I wake up thinking it's really, only realising that I was just dreaming it... sometimes I won't realise until I actually hear from the person in my dream it didn't happen...

It kind of sucks, because it makes me more strung out than I already am
