Add Question

Post by WiGeek »

Inside Del > Wrap > Inside Delay > Wrap > Inside Delay > Step Over > Inside Delay > Step Over

Now would that be just a 2 add, because they are all 2 add tricks, or would it be a 8 add, because it's 4 2 add tricks?

Also, if someone kicked a footbag 1035 times (like I read somewhere here), wouldn't that be a 1035 add? Haha... :?: :P

Kicking doesn't get an add, so no. Add's usually refer only to the one trick, there fore it wouldn't be eight adds. You could say that you did eight adds in one COMBO, but it is four seperate tricks.

dropless = string consiting of 1 add tricks and up
tiltless = string consisting of 2 add tricks and up
guiltless = string consisting of 3 add tricks and up
tripless = string consisting of 4 add tricks and up
fearless = string consisting of 5 add tricks and up

inside delays are 1 add tricks so you did a dropless string

No. Dropless means, that you have a run, where you dont drop the bag,
not even once, hence the term dropless.
In most cases people use this term when talking about routines,
not so much when talking about runs.

If you dont use any kicks or other 0 adds moves, you are "kickless"

If it's not dropless, then what is a string of 1 adders?

dropless = no drops
kickless = 1 adds and up - of course you can do 1 add and up kick moves when playing kickless - just like you can feel guilty about cheating on your girlfriend when playing guiltless - these aren't literal terms. Most of the time when a player plays "kickless" they don't do any kicks anyway - hence the term.

my reasoning behind calling it dropless is flying butterfly is a 3 add kick. So i consider kickless just about as invalid as dropless. But I agree with jeremy when he says they aren't literal terms. I justl like calling it dropless.

Not like it really matters though. I haven't once had to use the term in conversation.....ever.

Another question...

If you do any dex move flying, would it be like a Flying Pixie?

That would be symposium pixie. For a trick to be considered symposium, the non dexing leg must not touch the ground until the dex is complete. So (hop > dex > land) and THEN the non dexing leg is allowed to touch the ground. For tricks like legover, where the dexing leg also stalls the bag, it is called "symple" and doesn't get the symposium add.

I guess an exeption to that would be flying butterfly. You get the body add for being in the air and you dex, but it's not symposium. It's jump > dex > kick > then you land with both feet.

hmm very interesting point on butterflyer. I realise that I am in the air while dexing a lot of moves that don't get a flyer add - they should - first dex on whirls and eggbeater in particular.

But in flyers you make conctact with the bag (kick it) mid-air. That's where the body add comes.
Think about Jester, there's no dex.

you're right.

standing clipper kick is much harder to hit midstring than flying clipper clip kick though.

Wow - I've found a problem with the add system? Am I the first person to do this? Can I have like a certificate or something? Mike?

Since when has the add-system been a trick hardness modifier, Jeremy? :P
Someone a few weeks ago said that "some n00bs want to make it such thing". [<--originally written by...hmm...Tsiangkun? wolfpac? can't remember, but Jeremy it was not].

But yeah, clipper kick really is harder than clipper stall or jester. 8O

Flying clipper is the same thing as a jester, but Flying Clipper is the "technical name"

Jester can also be called a butterfly kick. Its the "real" jester as some people say.
