Hoho,

Reviewing old shred vids on my computer has given me LOTS of ideas for my next sessions.
The day before yesterday I hit

Atom smasher>legbeater>blur (one of my all time favourite combos --- copyright Tu Vu)
Atom smasher>atom smasher (ditto --- a combo various people have challenged me to do months ago)
Spinning clipper>spinning osis (which means I’m finally getting somewhere)
PS whirl (finally on strongside --- had hit flip a week ago)

I also dusted off some older tricks. Blizzards and toe blur feel quite confident.

Yesterday I cracked
-phoenix BS
-pixie paradon BS - but I'm afraid the 3rd dex was pretty the.

I think I’m gonna go watch some more videos now ;-)

..., says the man who hit 174 new tricks the weekend he came to Brussels. Seriously! :)

Don't worry; my improvement always happens very unsteadily. For some unclear reason I will improve a LOT this week, and not improve at all the next (or even get worse!). Really! I'm weird.

For now, I'm taking advantage of this good footbag vibe for as long as it lasts.

Whooow! I just found out I am now a 'Multidex Master'. Sounds cool and also relevant, as I'm starting to school my first triple dexes.

Off to look for a job now. I never thought being unemployed would get so boring after some time.

Still unemloyed.

But I figured out that breathing is more important than I had thought up to now  . When cooling down, I did osis (breathe in)>osis (breathe out)>repeat and I broke my osis best first try. It is now 20.
I'm gonna try the same thing with other tricks and with BOP runs.

I've been feeling superdupertired the last few days, so I'm cutting down on long sessions *yawn*.

Hmm, yeah I did up to a few days ago. We had this really nice indian summer. Now our temperate climate is very temperate again.

Cool to welcome someone new to this blog, Karim! Make yourself at home. Coffee?

Hey Wim,
I'm in France this week-end and in England the next, and France again the one after that, but BOOK your weekend after that so that we can go and have a nice BIG session in Brussels during saturday and / or sunday, maybe at the Gare, maybe at ULB. I really want to shred but i've got loads of work at the moment, and for 5 straight week-ends I'm away; So yeah I really want to shred also.

Oh and persevere for the job applications; It takes time;
A loooooooooooooong time. And if it's any indication, I usually table on about 2 or 3% of positive (i.e: they want to meet you) application replies. about 90% don't even take the time to send you a "sorry not interested" letter.

Heya Max!

That would be the weekend of the 22/23rd...right? Consider it BOOKED!
Winter is creeping in, so we should try and go outside now we still can!

8O 8O That's horrible yet comforting at the same time. I was starting to be in serious doubt about my diploma. :)

Argh I'm not 100% sure on the dates yet.
Next week-end (7 - 9 October) I'll be in London, where for my first time ever I shall freestyle with some people there.

Then I have to go to Paris one week-end to actually move all my stuff from Paris to Brussels. I'm not sure if I'm doing that on the 14-16th or on the 21-23rd of October.
I'll confirm that later on today.

But yeah we def. have to kick again soon.
I'll keep you posted.

I found a job!

I'm starting tomorrow monday. It's waay out of my field of study, but I so felt like it, so I decided to apply nonetheless... and was lucky!

The job is partially commercial, partially administrative. I am to man the reception of a fitness/lifestyle club... though I studied Germanic philology  .

The club is aspiring to be (one of) the biggest in Flanders, which it is (ie. it has indoor+outdoor tennis courts, squash courts, fucking big fitness hall, bar, restaurant, lounge,... and also a pool, sauna, and relax thing from december on).

What is REALLY cool about the job though is that
1. I make money
2. so I'm gonna be financially independent from my parents!! Fi-na-lly
3. so moving in with my gf has suddenly become a very realistic idea!

4. I will probably get a car at my disposal from next month on
5. I can use all the sports facilities FREE, so I don't expect to be looking for a decent indoor place to SHRED coming winter :D

Being admitted yesterday pumped my footbag game: I came home, immediately slipped on my lavers, and did some pretty nice runs (of which one 24 contact guiltless- my second best ever, not including BOP runs). What makes it even better is that I got them on camera as well, so I hope to put together a lil' vid soon.

Hah!

Hope all goes well on my first day tomorrow!

As in: 22-23rd of October? I have saturday off that weekend, but working on sunday. So yeah, saturday works for me!

It's pretty weird having to take a job into account whenever you plan on doing something...! I guess that's part of the deal.

38 hours a week is a LOT though. It is torture to see people who are gonna do some sport passing by your desk all day while you are at work, and hence don't have the time to get physical at all :x
Haha, that's the exact opposite of what I thought when I applied for this job! I'll see.

I somehow managed to stumble off the stairs yesterday morning (while I was going UP! 8O :? ) and my foot hurts a little. I played anyway yesterday evening, but perhaps I shouldn't have because my foot hurt even more afterwards. So I'm cutting down on footbag for a few days. I'll see where it goes (the injury that is, not the foot  ).

Urgh!
I'm super-busy with my job, which means I have less time to visit modified, but also to SHRED which is even worse!

I've kicked only twice since my last post.

Session One

I wasn't in very good shape and wasn't close to any new tricks, so I decided to try and BSOS some not-so-consistent tricks. I hit:
-pdx whirl BSOS
-torque BSOS
-downtime drifter BSOS

Session Two

It wasn't so much the shred that made this session special but the location! I tried out the shuttlecock courts at the club where I work, which was neat.
I got to work early (7.30 AM), kicked for 1h15, showered, and then got to my daily tasks at 9 AM :D
I'm certainly gonna do that again!

As I said the shred was not exceptional, though I did 50 BOP for cool down, which was very nice.

I would like to go to Brussels to meet with the BFC posse tomorrow.
