That is VERY weird looking. Gotta give them credit-- they are innovative. I still won't buy a revolution, but I'd like to try it out sometime.

Whenever they reveal a little more about the Revolution, I get just that much more stoked. :)

it looks like a tv remote or an ipod.
If you flip it sideways its just like the old school nes controller. but how can you play snes or n64 games with it?
Im sure it will be cool though, i'll buy any nintendo system as long as they make zelda. i'll even buy a DS once they make a zelda for it.

all their previous games will be available for download, so you can play them on the revolution. at first glance i cracked up laughing when i saw the controller, but once i read about all the motion sensing etc i thought it was pretty cool. i still don't really like the "remote control" design, and i wouldn't get a revolution anyway. it seems like nintendo is determined to bankrupt themselves, this new controller is the first thing i've seen in a long time that could do them any good.

i can't wait until they die and sell the zelda/mario rights to someone else, it's the only thing still good about nintendo ;) either that or they pull their heads out of their arses and release something worth buying... and seriously, their portable stuff sucks now too... all they do is release all their previous games, on a portable console. the ds is just a tiny battery operated 64... you can make your own portable 64 for less cost. see http://www.benheck.com/ click "video games" in the menu, then "portable units" and scroll down to "N64p"

Nintendo were pioneers.

Goldeneye>Perfect Dark. Now THERE is a fuckin cool combo!

However, Perfect Dark is to be released on another consol, soon.

Look... I'm interested in the new Nintendo. However, I'm going to wait untill I've got the three, side-by-side... where I can compare gaming consoles, before I fork out any $$$

Besides, I've always got PC gaming

I think that currently Gamecube is by far the best console on the market. Nintendo has allways had original and innovative ideas in their games. The other consoles are just pcs in a box with pc games. Maybe some of the games are a bit childish looking, but I like it when it's not allways a dark war or gun fight.

Nintendo DS and the touch screen on it are far more than a portable N64. The games that use the touch screen are ingenius. You have to try it to undestand. I don't care if it's the same character that was in the previous game, that's what they do on pc and other consoles also. Doom 3, Tekken 5, etc..

The new revolution controller looks a bit weird, but before trying it and seeing the games that use it's new techniques I can't really say if it's good or bad. We'll have to wait and see. If it will be able to draw on the screen like a mouse it will rock in fps games and stuff like that. Also you can use gamecube controllers with the revo and Nintendo said they will release retro controllers also.

nintendo was cool back in the 90's with the NES and SNES, but ever since then, they have sucked!

Gameboy was always lame, no good game was every made for it. The Gameboy advance SP gets boring in about 48 seconds. Although the nintendo DS looks nice, it just doesn't interest me at all. Innovation doesn't make it better, hey lets play footbag with our hands!

Gamecube also licked major. The controls were retarded. I went from a 1,000,000 point run on Tony Hawk 3 PS/PS2 to a 15,000 point run on the gamecube. Lame!

Pointing a remote at the screen and clicking buttons isn't really that new, its been around since the 60s?? Don't expect me to fork over $300 for a dump like this. Sure I haven't tried it out myself, but it's just not worth the money to find out

*fan mode on
Revolution is going to be the ultimate game console. Anyone who refuses to believe that will soon understand his mistake.

I mean...why on earth would I buy something like PS3 or Xbox360? Give me ONE good reason, please.

And the controller will do great...you just wait and see 8)

I can just dream of a first person swordfighting game... 8O

Like Star Wars Lightsaber battles... I'd be swinging that thing around like nobodies business... haha...

As for the questions about "what about ordinary games?" now you can also plug the controller into another controller, to be able to play 3rd party games that don't support the tilt sensored controller...

NOTE/EDIT: The controller shown here... http://media.cube.ign.com/articles/651/ ... 77147.html

IS NOT WHAT IT'S GOING TO LOOK LIKE, IT'S JUST A MODELED GAMECUBE CONTROLLER, THE CONTROLLER WILL LOOK MUCH DIFFERENT! IT'S JUST NOT DESIGNED YET! (to stop any rumors, haha)

Exactly why I can't wait for Xbox 360... Halo 3, Perfect Dark Zero, Amped 3, and Morrowind: Oblivion... OH YEAH!!!!

I'll probably buy all three consoles... :)
