I have to agree that Mrs. Moir is the coolest footbag mom I have ever met. From the first times she drove Jorden to the University of Guelph up until her most recent 'coolness' it has been apparent that she is very supportive and encouraging! To just list a few things, which I have been very impressed with: all the drives to Guelph to let Jorden come shred with Chad/Will/myself (which is particularly impressive since the first few times Jorden was still fairly young, and I am not sure many moms would be as trusting as she was), the trip she made to see Jorden perform in the finals at worlds 2004, the party she had for him to celebrate after worlds where she invited a bunch of local shredders :D , the coffee and donuts she got Chad/Jorden/myself after some random shred session, her always warm and friendly attitude, and also letting him go to so many tournaments!!! These are only a few things that I have personally seen, so I know there must be so many countless other things she does to support and encourage Jorden. You are one lucky shredder, Jorden. In conclusion, Mrs. Moir you rock!

Jorden's Mom is the coolest.

Jesse Malouf's mom is in love with me.

I talked to her on MSN for like 7 hours one day. She told me she loved me.

Wow -- Jorden's mom is awesome :D
I'd also like to say how awesome Andrew Grant's mom is!! She's suuuper nice! Rob Fuller's Grandma is also really really nice!!
My mom is so great too! She asked if she could make dinner for us at Hackrifice, but I had to tell her that Andrew's mom already was. She used to drive me to almost every tournament I've ever been to, including Calgary (19 hours) 3 years in a row, Regina, and a 2-day drive, one way, to Ft. Collins, Colorado!!!!!!! Every year I've had, like 5+ guys stay at my house, for, like, 5 years straight now, and for ages I had Derek and Andrew over every week to shred on our brand new hardwood floor, which got all torn up from shred :D

Hmm Hagesy...Im not so sure about your statement about my mum. I bet you will take a shot at tuning her when you come to Brisbane, you bogan, you.

LOL but yeah..My mum is awesome. She supports everything to do with me playing footbag. She let me travel to the Aussie champs at 14 :D (thats from brisbane to melbourne). She chips in for footbag gear, If I lose a bag she always help look for it. Props to my mum!

Alex Urano's mum offered to buy me a donut at the last aus champs. I declined  I want that donut right now.

Dan Ednies mum is also cool! She was super nice to me while staying at Dans place.

Any mum/mom who encourages footbag is COOL!
Hopefully back one day.

Hey Anssi, your mom isn't bad either because she let five strangers to stay at your place last spring. :)

(My mom also asked me if I had quitted footbag because I sprained my ankle. "For my own sake." OK, my parents have bought me one sand-filled 32 for Christmas which I thought was really cool way to show that they somehow want to support me with this (although the bag was really crappy). Also they paid my Lavers though I couldn't use the credit card, that was a super nice thing too.
And of course, they've let me to travel to Turku to some freak *cough*Anssi*cough* I had never seen before just to kick a small bean bag! :D )

I'm saying Rory's mom is one of the best. She's extremely kind and everytime I was there offered me a place to eat.

Last time I kicked at Rory's house:

Mrs. Dawson : "Are you thirsty? Did you want something to drink?"

Me : "Umm... no thanks, I should be good."

Mrs. Dawson : "Did you want an Apple Juice? Apple or Orange?"

Me: "Ugh, apple please"

Mrs. Dawson : "Rory, can you get an apple juice for Byrin? And maybe give him some cheese and grapes too!"

They were the best after shred snack - next to watermelon - I had :D

Oh -- Derek's mom too!
They let me stay for a week, to hang out when Rob came to visit. All we did was shred and watch TV and swim in their pool -- she made us dinner and lunch and everything every day, including this amazing steak dinner that was the best steak I have ever had in my life. She also used to drive Derek to the community club every Saturday (Derek lives an hour away, out of the city), and used to come and watch at the tournaments every year.

"Sure honey. Just remember to bring your homework with you to Denmark. And don't forget to pack a snack for the plane trip."

I mean, C'mon! Thats totally craziness. One day, your son is learning to play kicky-sack, and the next, people are offering to fly his ass across a frikkin ocean for free! His mom must be totally tripped out, but at the same time, cool about it. . .

What do you all think?
My parents were apprehensive for me to go to Eugene a couple years ago. Now they'd probably be fine with it, but eugene is like 150 miles away, if that.

I think that's a matter of opinion. I wouldn't call either Jorden or Alex a monkey, but... :?

Haha! You don't see a thread like this every day. :o

Ahh, my mom. So many things would have never happened if it weren't for her. Any article ever done on myself was through her initiative to call the newspaper. I did a 3 minute demo on live local news -- because of her E-mail. I-Toys, a large Canadian toy company hired me to do a commercial and provided me with a $1000 sponsorship towards this year's Worlds. I might not have gone otherwise. I-Toys discovered me through seeing an article of mine, arranged by none other than my Mom.

For all the times you drove me to sessions when you were REALLY busy and when I probably didn't deserve the ride, your X-mas gift of funds to Chilly Philly, the booze you bought me for the GRASS afterparty and WAY more, I salute you.

Jorden

P.S. PLEEEZ don't start posting regularly.
