If you post your report before you turn it in, we could proofread it for you. :)

And I guess I would call them 'tricks', since at least then they would get a basic idea and it doesn't have a cocky connotation (not that the others necessarily do, but 'tricks' seems like a very low-key word).

Tricks.

Seriously Zach, if you want help editing your paper I'd be happy to help. I'm in school to be an English Teacher and I can use the practice on peer editing.

yeah don't call it a trick, save that word for magicians and hookers. "Move" is a much better word.

contacts also works.

For example. A "contact" is defined as that action which occurs between two consecutive touches of the footbag with a players foot.

personally I say tricks - I describe freestyle a bit like this:

"you might think of it as like extreme hacky sack - only we don't kick it, we stall it and do tricks with the bag like going around it with our feet and stuff" - and then I usually pull out a bag and do a demo because it is way too hard to make somebody understand freestyle footbag without showing them (hence my sucky explenation - because it's so much easier to rush over the verbal and go straight to the visual)

Mike Hansen is good at making anything sound good.

As ted would say "he makes math sound like literature"

In a written essay you will probably want to use several of the suggestions people have given you. If you always use only one of them it will get redundant and boring. It's good to switch it up a bit.

Trick, Move, Journey into the symbiotic kinesis of the footbag and lower appendages of the human body.
