Just thought this should be said because no one has mentioned it...

Buba Hotep - Its a movie about elvis and jfk in a nursing home fighting a soul sucking mummy... it's awsome

Vanilla Sky - Pretty weird almost matrix like movie

Brazil - Totally weird, but crazy and good. Really funny in some parts. It's a sci fi.

2001: Odyssee - gRRRRReeeat kubrick!

Once upon a time in the west - well, what can i say? best atmosphere! leone for sure!

Aristocats - in my opininion the BEST disney movie. it has definately the coolest soundtrack!

hmmm, maybe: Eaten Alive - cause i like peter jackson

wow, i recognize it´s pretty hard to list just 5 movies. there are too much good films around. but these five above, i could nearly watch them everyday!

I'm retracting my statement on #5. #5 is now Super Troopers because John Wayne sucks compared to Broken Lizard because in terms of making me laugh. Club Dread is a close tie with Super Troopers, too.

I work in a video store and am currently writing a phd on film so i watch a hell of alot of movies, this also means my top five constantly changes slightly. The ones that stay in are:
1) The Third Man - its the movie that got me into movies, every frame is a work of art and contributes to the narrative.
2) Apocalypse Now (Original not the Redux) - no matter how many times i watch it it sucks me in every time and leaves me awestruck.
3) Rushmore -great characters great screenplay great soundtrack. (can also be said of all of Wes Andeson directed films so far)
4) Adaptation - this can actually often be found as high as number 2.
After that it changes constantly but right now I'll go with The Graduate just beating out High Fidelity, Get Shorty, and The Man Who Wasnt There etc. etc. etc..
Who wears short shorts?

I would hate you if you didn't have such good taste in movies :?

4)The Rock

5)Out Cold

Good call! The Rock is so good (and Office Space is hilarious). I haven't seen Out Cold, though. I also remember really liking Pitch Black when I first saw it. I can't believe Eurotrip was listed twice. I thought it was one of the worst movies I've ever seen -- I only watched it because my brother said it was really good...
I think my list is something like:
1) Cube
2) Pi
3) Sphere
4) Gattaca
5)
I don't know. There are so many great movies!

I never finished Waking Life. I started watching to see what it was like a while ago and was hooked until I dragged myself away (I had work to do?). I know there are lots of action movies I love -- oh, Enemy at the Gates is good (so is Enemy of the State). Musa, Taeguki, Infernal Affairs (not really "action"...). I loved Amelie, and I really want to see those other movies you guys listed by that director. Did he do Dirty Pretty Things too? I saw that one. 2001 was soooo good!!! Another great movie was THX1138!! (SOOO much better than Equilibrium!) Battle Royale (I don't think I liked #2); Interview with the Vampire (and John Carpenter's Vampires!); Fight Club. I think every movie with Nicholas Cage must be amazing and epic. It's hard to choose a top 5. James Woods is my favourite actor.

Cube Zero rocks and is nothing short of sci-fi at its best. I like all 3 movies, but Zero's probably my fave. Jax, the dude with the cane and the crazy eye was freakin NUTS!!!
