Leather is bad for a few reasons. Heavy, stiff, and slippery. If you DO end up with the leathers, you'd be well advised to cut the outside leather layer from the inside and toe.
I swear the leather Lavers are cut different. Not to mention, they're slippery and hard to modify. Mesh is good, black mesh is better but any Rod Laver is the best of any footbag shoe.
leather lavers are the shiz. I only wear leathers myself. It's not hard to mod them at all. If you cut the outsides off, it's the same as a mesh IMO. They feel lighter than mesh to me, although I never have measured them.
BTW, what up blendertron5000!!? finally made it to modified
IMO I think the leathers would be more grippy than mesh because that material under the leather is way less slippery , im not sure though havnt tried them
Are there any more thoughts on this?
I've always considered the Mesh to be better because of the sensitivity of the mesh, compared to the percieved canvas underneath.
ive got a pair of leather, and i like them fine, but what you were saying about the material underneath- Its not all that gripy (accept after you cut off the leather cause then it's sticky), and it seems really easy to get holes in it and rip it after the brocka mod.
I think it all boils down to personal preference, guys. I mean, with so many of the things in footbag, you really gotta do what you feel works for you. Maybe I'm wrong. As a beginner though, I feel that having the mesh lavers is crucial.
