Long hair......
I got long hair (about the length of Mitch Headburg) does anyone think i should cut it because it affects a shred session? what do you guys think?
I've just shaved my head and beard after 2 years of growth - my hair was passed shoulder length. Long hair can be better for those cold winter shreds - you lose alot of heat through your head - but obviously the reverse is true for summer (part of the reason i shaved mine off). If you've got a really thick head of hair you may find a hat will keep dropping off, i suggest an elastic sweatband. Ive found that sweatbands are more effective than ordinary headbands, they tend to have stronger elastic.
Although you can duck/dive/etc with the hair i've found its just plain easier without it.

I've got long hair that's about shoulder length and isn't quite ready to ponytail because strands fall out in the front, but it doesn't really effect me at all at this point. I just pull it back into my bandana and it's fine. I'm going to steal the technique that my friend used which is the samurai bun. That seemed to work fairly well. And I'll probably put it in a beanie or something later on.

I'm surprised to hear about others having the samurai mod. I've been securing my hair like this for a while. I think I saw Matt Cross with this (?) in a video. I have to fix it every once in a while, but I've gotten pretty good at it and use 2 elastic bands to hold it. I still think that it's a hassle, but it's managable.

This is me a few days ago. I find my hair unbareable to play with!!!
It get really hot really quick, then it gets wet from my sweat which drips down all over my face, then it gets heavy and no about of wax can stop it whacking me in the eyes, so I play with a hat on which makes sweat worse, and the hat falls off with every spin or duck.
Normally I use a white sweat band round my head to hold my hair back, but it is still annoying and itchey.
As soon as my exams are over I am getting it cut very very short again
Do like a normal ponytail and fold the tail in half and tie it. There you have it. Might want the tail to be a bit higher on your cranium for the full samurai effect.TheVindicator wrote:Samurai mod?
