Here are the games that some Australians will be getting paid to teach to children (as well as demonstrating freestyle footbag of course).


Hardcore!


FOOTBAG SOCCER

What you’ll need:

1. A footbag.
2. 2 or more players.

How to play:

1. Serve the footbag.
2. Points are accumulated by a player successfully bouncing the footbag off their head, back to themselves, and passing it on.
3. If the footbag drops before it is passed to another player, or the pass goes to no-one, no points are awarded.
4. When the footbag is dropped, the player who dropped it must serve.
5. The first player to reach 10 points wins.



FOOTBAG FOOTY

What you’ll need:

1. A footbag.
2. 2 teams of 2 or more players.

How to play:

1. The two teams must stand facing each, like a football match.
2. Toss a coin, the team who loses the toss must kick off (serve).
3. The team who receives the serve must keep the footbag off the ground and pass it between themselves at least once before passing it back to the other team.
4. This continues until either drops the footbag. When this happens the other team gains 1 try.
5. The first team to score 6 trys wins.




FOOTBAG AFL

What you’ll need:

1. A footbag.
2. 2 or more players.

How to play:

1. Paper, rock, scissors: the loser must serve first.
2. The first serve must be a hand pass, like the hand passes in an AFL game.
3. The object of the game is to successfully Mark the footbag by stalling it using any allowed part of the body. The footbag must remain stalled for 2 seconds, then be successfully passed on before a Mark is awarded.
4. The player with the highest score at the end of the game wins.

FOOTBAG CRICKET

What you’ll need:

1. A Cricket footbag
2. A better, bowler and 2 fielders
3. A wicket ( school bag is good)

How to play.

1. Serve to the batter from 2 minutes away
2. Batter receives the footbag and kicks it to another player
3. If that player drops the footbag before passing it on, the batter scores a run
4. If the footbag hits the wicket, the batter is out and the bowler takes their spot
5. If the footbag is passed back to the batter and its dropped, they are out
6. Bowler serves 6 times, then must swap with a fielder
7. The first person to score 6 runs, wins.

Oh yeah, I also came up with this game too.

What you need:

1 footbag
x number of players
a stopwatch.

Each player has 30 seconds to hit as many unique difficult tricks as possible. At the end of 30 seconds, add the total amount of adds to the number of unique tricks multiplied by the add ratio. Whoever has the highest score, wins.

Instead of footbag footy it should be footbag soccer. It be more fun than running around kicking until u cross a line. Ive mentioned this b4, anyone watch Jackie Chans Dragon Lord. Its has a shuttle cock game where u have to kick it between your team (Not letting it touch the ground?) with stalls aswell. The aim is to kick the shuttle cock into a goal like in soccer.

This would work just the same with footbag soccer. Might want a small goal like used in Street hockey or wateva.

some more rules for footbag-soccer:

-a pass can be interfered with any part down of the knee and hit the ground (like a net-block). the stealing-team gets the bag on the sideline.
-if interfering with any other part of the body you need to keep the bag off ground to keep bag possession (sp?)
-walking with the bag on the foot (stalled) is not allowed.
-there is no goalkeeper, anybody may block shots according to the rules above.
this could be played on an indoor-hockey-field with the goals standing on some box, raising it to knee-height.

The nestle thing is for ppl who have probably never seen a footbag before so footbag soccer might be a little difficult (not that the other games are all that easy). Its still an interesting idea, and definitly awesome in Jackie Chan's film which i believe still holds the record for most takes for a single scene (I'm not sure but The Shining - Shelly Duval backing up the steps - might have pipped it).
