Perhaps it would make people feel better to know that I don’t see any women posting in the private forum who don’t already post in the rest of the forum. It’s not like it steals women away from the rest of the forum. And if a woman posts there, who's to say that if it the Shredita's forum didn't exist that she would post the same stuff in public? Perhaps there is a reason that women post some things in there and only there.

As for your qualm, Sam, I can also assure you that Jeremy was not the driving force in this. I was contacted by those bothered by the overall feeling in the Shredita's forum, and I passed the information on to Jeremy and Brad who were just doing their job and taking care of the people who the sub-forum was actually created for.

why do girls need there own forum? no one suggests an all guys forum. what would we do? have threads where we talk about which girl is the hottest.. thats wack.. and tom was right to point out the double standard for guys as eye candy - your eyes wander to their upper body.. EDIT: I'm not offended about "girls only" forum here on modified, but I think it is a good thing that we all know it know. I'd also appreciate that if there really were more secret forums (and it all wasn't just some Kamil's strange imagination) their existence would be made public. They could still be closed forums, I'd just feel a bit uneased if there was a "drug dealers only" forum here too...

I believe the right thing has been done. We don't barge in and demand that we be allowed to listen in on a conversation between girls when they are clearly discussing 'girly stuff' and none of us should do so on the forums either.

There are many things that female footbag players may want to talk about that guys in general simply know little about or tend to get pretty immature about. Women deserve to be able to talk about these things on a global forum.

I don't know about the rest of the guys out there but the shredita's forum is none of my concern and i'm happy to forget it's there.

I think the Girls only forum was/is a good thing. However, it's a shame that it has to be secret.
I'm sorry that the whole thing blew up here, with my post. But I do think that the Moderators/Admins should have informed the male members of that section before/during the 'banning'.

To all the people who are complaining about the 'secret Shreditas section', if you didn't know about it then you're either too new to Modified, or you're blind and only see what you want to see. It was there and the debate about having the section has been and gone. Get over it.

Sure, some people may argue about the 'double standards', but like has been stated - Modified is essentially the Shreditas section in reverse. It's almost all guys posting, with only a few girls doing the same. There was no double standards because both were/are essentially open to both sexes.
