I hate you- not only were you the first post on this page, but you were also the 300th reply in this thread. Die, die, I'll see you in hell... evil horrible person. You make me want to quit footbag and... ugh, never mind.

I forgot to mention that on Tuesday while we were playing with my awesome Felix bag, a large puppy came and scooped it up, ran away with it, started gnawing on it like crazy, and then the owner came to tug it out of the dog's mouth while the dog still had a good grip on the bag.

It had one hole already, but now I see THREE more smallish holes/tears.

I guess it's doing pretty well for 9 months of play.

John Roberts... age 50... too many years ahead of him.

you should have booted that puppy. i'm horrified about john roberts but maybe he'll bring about the revolution. Can that be fixed at all?

The revolution? That's what people said about Bush being reelected too... not going to happen. As far as I'm aware, we're stuck with Roberts until he dies which is many years from now.

Jeremy (read his blog for sure!), Fletcher, and I had a good long session. I felt shot after less than an hour but got a second wind that had me playing for two hours more.

Everyone hit something new, how fun is that? I hit terrage and barrage for the first time. After the session was over I tasted like sweat. For dinner I made pot stickers and a spinach salad with raspberry dressing, candied pecans, dried cranberries, and tomatoes from the farmers market. Then a fresh peach. Yum!

My plane tickets are purchased and I am 100% sure that I am coming to the New Year's Jam. I'll be back in Illannoys on Dec. 23rd and am leaving Jan. 5th. If CP is the weekend immediately after NYJ, I'll do the same thing I did last year and go to that too if I can catch a ride to/from with someone. If I go to that, when I get back I'll spend a little more time with my family/real friends (as opposed to my footbag friends) in my hometown.

Where are Peter Irish, Ahren, Aaron/Damon when I need them? Man… Monday night.

Recently I’ve been spending a lot of time doing stuff that’s not related to being on a computer. Woohoo.

Friday I went to the Guerilla Drive-In and saw Dark Days. Saturday night I went to a one person play called Shopping for God. A while after that ended I went to the midnight movie at the Del Mar downtown. But it wasn’t the normal deal, it was a Midnight Mystery Movie Marathon. $13, unlimited in/outs, and a raffle at the end for everyone who stayed for all six movies. I stayed for all six movies, and with no caffeine I stayed up the whole time except for 40 minutes during Ong-Bak. I sat with some fun people and was all cozy in my sleeping bag; my sleeping bag is the best. Before I bought it I did not known that there are men’s and women’s sleeping bags. I went to the play and movie by myself. I have never (as long as I can remember) had a problem with being by myself in public. Or just hanging out in my house by myself. Yeah yeah, it sounds lame to do that anyway. But I've known at least one person who wouldn't ever go the a store by herself because she was scared about what people thought about her since she was alone. If you don't feel comfortable just being with yourself, there's something wrong. I've been fine with shopping and eating alone in public, but I've never been the person to go to a movie by myself because it just feels lonely.

Movies:
1. MirrorMask - from the makers of Labyrinth.
2. The Squid and the Whale - from the makers of The Life Aquatic.
3. Oldboy - South Korea, subtitled, a few really graphic scenes. Also, a live octopus was eaten by the main character and you could tell that it wasn't fake. It was squirming as it's head was being swallowed and the tentacles were sticking to his nose...
4. The Chumscrubber - messed up families story.
5. Ong-Bak: The Thai Warrior - I thought the fight scenes were great then I found out (after seeing it) that there were no stunt-doubles and no ropes or anything used in the fight scenes. Everything was real and it felt/looked it too, which I like better than big movie special effects (with fighting movies anyway.)
6. Sarah Silverman: Jesus is Magic - I was ready to like this stand up comedy movie, but it was HORRIBLE. If you ever get a free ticket to see it, don't.

1, 2, 4, and 6 haven't been released here yet and were super-sneak previews.

Sunday I went to freestyle a little with Fletcher, Jeremy, and Nate then played one SUCK-ASS game of net. The game was fine, I just played like I had never tried it before. Man, that was frustrating.

I passed out as soon as I got home and slept until today at 9amish. Today I wore an old NOFX The Decline shirt and had the song going in my head ALL DAY. I played with Fletcher at the tennis courts. It was a fun session. I worked on flip illusions which are still not coming along very well. Fletcher hit good stuff even though there are lots of hazards. Awesome fight on tv afterwards.

I don’t think about the Amish enough.

I liked it. To me first part dragged a little, but it picked up and I'm glad I saw everything in it.

Today: Session with Amelia, Jeremy, and Fletcher at the tennis courts. My first or second run of the day was probably my longest. Later in the session, I came disgustingly close to hitting flip blur a bunch but failed every time. The lights went out for the night before I was done trying it so I came home to an empty house, checked Modified, then went to the living room to keep trying flip blur for 30 or so minutes. I kept getting so close but couldn’t hit it. At least I got a ton of stepping practice on that side which I (definitely) needed anyway. Sweaty and smelly and a failure. But it’s fun.

While we were playing this gal came up and asked if we were practicing for a competition. I told her that we weren't practicing for one but they do exist and... blah blah, same old stuff... Then she said that since she plays tennis at those courts pretty often she has seen us play before and she's really impressed. She thinks it looks really fun so she wants to try to learn how to play. So she gave me her number (I totally scored her number

) and she wants me to call her the next time we play. She thinks her friends would want to come out and try it too.

Oh yeah, when I started my car to drive home, the dash board lights and the radio lights were super dim. I'm not sure what that's all about. Please don't be expensive.

sometimes my knee hits the dimmer wheel in my car and makes everything unnervingly darker. Maybe that's it?

props on getting some people into the sport, definitely let me (us) know how that goes. and try and get some pictures of their boobs. Shreditas are HAWT!!!!!

I was skooling clippers, illusions, and stepping that day.

Last night I watched Death Sport, a work of cinematic genius. "Flaming mutants..." Today I woke up, had a cup of soy milk with this in it:

Woah, so much caffeine compared to what I’m used to now (which is almost none).
Then Jennie, Jason, one of our friends and her girlfriend and I went on:

The “brunch tour” included pastries from the BUTTERY (I’ve mentioned this place before, I think. The name reflects the flavor of their food; good.), mimosas made with Odwalla orange juice, and amazingly good fresh fruit. The tour lasted for a few hours and was surprisingly fun. The swells were good sized and the weather was perfect.

Net today was fun. Mike, Jeremy, Teresa, Sage, and AJ! I hadn’t seen him for months, but he played for a while which was fun.

1. I keep kicking the bag and hitting the soft spot on the inside of my ankle (which is only soft and very tender because I keep hitting the bag there) which causes pain and prevents any possibility of aiming or setting straight up. 2. When serving with inside kicks I don’t hit it hard enough which means that it goes just short enough to come down again and get caught on my side of the net which could get frustrating after a while. 3. With a toe serve I usually kick it too far or not to the right spot. 4. My depth perception still isn’t used to net.

But those all feel like things that I’ll get better with over time with practice. I like net a lot. The whole competition aspect is foreign to me, but that’s okay because I don’t plan to compete.

It was a good day, and we have a plan for freestyle sessions later this week. AJ wants to come out on Tuesday, and it might be late enough that Nate can come out too. That would be great.

Don’t worry Matt, I’ll keep a camera at hand at all times just for that purpose.

YAY. Fun session with Fletcher and AJ. We played at a new spot downtown, where it’s illegal to play hack. A bike cop rode by twice but didn’t say anything. Maybe he was just pretending to not see us.

I had planned on skooling but that didn’t happen. I just did some strings and worked on linking butterfly>ss butterfly which I have been having a problem. I hit some clipper set drifters and strong side toe drifters.

Fletcher played well. He had some good length runs, and he skooled clippers which are getting better. (see end of this post)

AJ had been in Hawaii for months and was really busy when he got back so this was the first time he has been able to play. It took him a while to warm up again after not playing for months, but he did really well. His energy was great, his conversation was even better:lol:, and I showed him what a toe drifter was and he hit it for the first time.

After we were done with real kicking he kept trying to hit it on the other side. I love that when AJ is learning a new trick he'll try it twice on one side, then twice on the other side, rpt. I also LOVED that today AJ called numerous places trying to find night spots for shred for tonight (finding out what tennis courts in the area have lights and what time they turn off for the night) and this winter (seeing if we could use activity rooms in community buildings). Motivated. So nice.

Back on topic... We ended the session with a cookie battle. AJ and I were challenged to hit 8 infinities first, and Fletcher was challenged to hit clipper>ss clippers x3 first. I hit mine, then Fletcher hit his (he hadn’t hit three in a row before), which meant that next session AJ has to bring cookies! It was his idea and a good’un.
