Hypothetical Impossibles

Post by Splint »

I think of moves all the time that I think are ultimately against physical ability, but only by a slight margin. So in this thread, think of some moves that you think are almost possible, but just out of reach enough that they could be possible. It may give people some ideas or Jorden might prove us wrong and hit them all. :D

(I actually think this one is possible)

I'm pretty sure. I want to say that Ales has hit it. At least I remember him trying it at Chilly '04.

PS Whirr…

Even better Whirrr-wind / Whirr-gig!

Perhaps a Montage Rake with an extra dex on the whirl is over the top?

I was thinking along the lines of knee set ATW knee, cloud set ATW cloud (this thought was like 3 months ago). They both seem like they'd be very possible, but require a lot of practice on a surface that most people don't use. So if anyone can do it, it would be awesome to see on video.

I'm pretty sure both moves have been hit about 15 years ago.

all day in school i thought of some. here is what i remember

-downtime nemesis. If toe flurry has been hit, nemesis seems like it isnt too far off, but still impossible
-pixie gyro janiwalker. Fairy version has been hit. Pixie too hard?
-bubba set OP butterfly swirl
-drifter rev swirl

-swirling double spinning pdx mirage
-smiling ducking (swirling stepping)

EDITED because i had some stuff that had been hit.

If I remember good some time ago Hubert Godlewski from Poland has written on Polish forum that he has hit something out of Whirling Ducking.

Jon actually hits ripstein as a trick, and not a disected swirl set swirl. I would say Jon hits the true ripstein.

knee ATW knee? I'm skeptical, especially if it's knee stall. I must have tried it about 50 times last night. It seems damn near impossible, and I consider myself fairly good with knee stuff. Is there anybody who has claimed to have done it?

Hmm...

A lot of high plains drifter moves are way harder than they sound I think, some probably impossible ones are:

 Ducking high plains drifter.
 Surging ss high plains drifter (has gyro high plains been hit?)
 Spinning pdx high plains drifter (like double void).
 Blurry high plains

Anyone think i'm wrong about these?
