September 2005 Sick One and Sick Three Events

Posted below are links to two videos, one contains the entries to the September Sick1 event, and the other contains the entries to the September Sick3 event.

Voting is now officially closed for this months comp, there will be no more votes accepted for either of these events - current results are final.

sick 3 video says its the sick15 and I think the music credits are off

Anyways, I just voted, and I would like to say thanks to everyone who participated (hopefully me next time) I love watching these vids because people come with some sick stuff.

I thought Jorden's fs jani was pretty sweetfeet and then into the blurry flux was a nice looking link!

Whirlygig swirl really stood out for me. It's such a huge move, props on that one dave!

And Dustin, that looked pretty cool, nice job!

I guess Merlin is the word this/last month . . .

Toe Flurry was another move that was very proper! I actually haven't seen it done before watching that.

Also Nic, on your ducking osis, I don't quite think the duck was there.

Pixie ducking merlin was superfasick! I like how the dex on those look kind of like downtime quantum. They just look sweet

Doc Biarda always pulls out the chunky toe bombs, always a good sick 3 from you.

Sorry about the music credits and the mixup with the sick15 title! It was about 3am when I was encoding the vids and I was so tired I didn't even notice the mistakes when I watched htem :S. By the time they are compressed and uploaded it's pretty much too late to fix it, even if I did have time

, its a bit disapointing, ill have much more time next round though

.

And about my ducking osis, lol I have never been good at ducking out of reverse whirls (or anything out of reverse whirls because I don't do them much lol). It looked like it went behind my afro when I watched it frame by frame, still poor form though

.

Voted for Sick3. I did this pretty early on in the morning so, my thought process is pretty crappy. But all in all, Jorden's Sick3 looked really smooth, and really tight. So, my number one vote goes to him.

wtf? Umm, no, I know my whirls aren't the best in the world, so I'd classify it as thin. As I freeze frame it, my leg goes over the bag, and I can see the bag partially covering up my shoe when it passes behind (a good indication that the whirl was dexed cleanly, though thinly, btw)

Sorry for busting my ass off for a sick 1 to get a comment of "btw chris, your whirl was the" Thanks. You know that I've not been able to play lots lately, at least be happy with what I have tried to accomplish (even though I'm sure I did accomplish it cleanly, yes thinly). This was a surprise to me, because guess what! I'm not good enough anymore to successfully seal a butterfly.

I wouldn't have taken your comment this hard except for that is the only thing you said.

I would have to agree with Chris. I think his whirl is definatly there, though it looked like only an ankle/shoe dex, and the rest of the move was done with excellent form, so that counts for something too.

Chris, you gotta take the good with the bad. Not everybody can do hard moves 100% clean all the time, even Vasek does alot of his bigger stuff a bit uncleanly at times. The bottom line is, who cares, it isn't really that much of a differance. Ok you will get marked down if your move was thin, but so long as it's not obviously completely the then don't sweat it.

I'm sure some positive comments are coming your way soon! ( as soon as I have time to comment on everyone! ).

It wasn't the only thing James said, he also gave a bunch of positive comments in his other post and told me my duck wasn't there

. Don't worry too much Chris, it's just one persons opinion.

I'm not sure Chris' whirl was there either. It's thin enough that it's disputable, I guess. Otherwise, your Symp Whirl in the Sick 3's is PERFECT. Looks great.

I agree with James on Nic's duck too, that one's pretty clear to see.

-Jeremy's was tough to see at best...I really can't tell if it's clean.
-Logan, that trick feels great to hit when you're first learning it. Pretty soon you'll have it bsos. Awesome work.
-Toby, I put you down where you are because I think your symp mirage could use less body rotation. Be careful not to "jay" the dex. (have the bag go "behind you" instead of actually going under your leg.)
-I don't think Wiktor hit his trick at all. There's a dex missing there.

Everyone above Jeremy that I failed to mention: Awesome work.

Pretty flawless execution for the most part. (with small exceptions like "Jorden could have turned more" and "Michal kinda nicked the duck there...";))

Yeah, a lot of my comments are about how I'm not as good anymore. Well, its the truth. I've lost my determination, but mostly I've lost the time I had in the past.

I am working hard to get my skill back up, and I'm hoping this next month I'll have some really awesome things to show in sick1/3/15. So I guess I do have determination, I just need my time back! (Which i wont get). My health is fine, but I notice my leg strength is significantly reduced based off the fact that I'm out of practice. Flails are impossible anymore if you were wondering. HEHE

I will stop complaining about this, but I can't garuntee I'll be able to school!
