Good review Gareth.
Here is my review of the day. I rocked up at the second demo around 11:30 and saw Jeremy waving like a n00b in the middle of the park Then I grabbed my MASSIVE milo shirt and greeted everyone. Started out with some OK runs inside the building hitting stuff like phoenix>blurry whirl and some long ducking/diving/spinning runs. Jeremy was going off hitting some insane crap like frantic legover midrun. It was out of some crazy trick (maybe fog?). Hagesy is effing good now hitting dlo's, pixie shuffle o ii, ducks, dives, some spins, some whirls, some awesome steps and some sweet ass atomic. He hit smear>atomsmasher mid and blur>atom mid. Crazy...Gareth hit a nice run starting with tripwalk including symp whirl and some and his run length was sooo much better today. Well after a while of some phat shredding action inside Jeremy and Gareth were dieing outside so Hagesy and I made the swap. As Gareth said the ground was freakin dodgy but it was managable. The heat didnt help with that either. I dont really remember anything I hit worth a BIG mention other than a long ass run with heaps of stuff including a phat symp whirl and earlier on, goliath (alpine smog) first shot. As the arvo went on, Hagesy was pulling out the one liners all over the place with great timing and accuracy. Funny bugger he is. Oh yeah, it was cool seeing Jeremy spin! He hit a super nice mobius>pdx mirage to start a run and double spinning osis nearly sealed. Caroline's mirages and control has also improved! As Gareth said it was kind of annoying with people walking all around and THROUGH the circle. During a bit of "hacky sack" with some newbs, a big flyer let rip and was heading straight for this chicks head but luckily with my amazing reaction time, I was able to snatch the bag just infront of her face and save her from a possible death. Jeremy's new bag is SWEEEET. His stitching style is completley different now. The bags are smaller and much heavier making sets and overall control of the bag exceptional. As we finished up, Caroline headed off and Jezza, Garth and Hagesy headed back to Gareths house. We chilled there for a bit and then took the anxious Jeremy to the air port and Hagesy to someones place where he was getting pissed and staying the night. After that Gareth dropped me off at the train station and I cruised on home, sat my ass on the computer and am about to go to bed cause I got an early start tomorrow for another day of fun filled footbag lol, just joking with the roll.

The whole day was sweet and Jeremy, it was rad playing with you again. Can't wait till melbourne!!!

Oh yeah, there was this other young kid who plays soccer that was getting like 10 or more consec. kicks aswell as clipper kick, neck stall and toe stalls bs!
And there was this small porky kid that said "catch this" and pegged the footbag at me real hard. I didnt catch it and it flew off about 10 metres away. what a n00b.

Lunch was at Carolines with some awesome Ham, Cheese and Tomato toasted sandwiches, with highlights from 'Sick 03'.

2nd Demo.
We arrived at the second location a little later than the 15 minutes requested. However, the Milo crew were still setting up, even though the event was already in full swing. We were playing on a closed off street and which had it's minor slopes here and there. The biggest problem with this venue was the crowd. Our circle was frequently invaded by passers-by, but we often got a good crowd stopping to watch. We probably had the best responce from the crowd at this place, than at any of the other venues we've demoed at so far. Lots of kids got involved and fortunately Caroline was prepared to step out of the circle to talk to them and have a kick.
I must add that, at no point that I'm aware of, have any of us shown the kids how to play the milo games - especially as many of them involve stalling the bag, when just keeping the bag up is an issue for them. Generally, circle kicking is the easiest way to go.
A highlight for me was Magellan>Smear>Dimwalk> run dropping on Tripwalk attempt.
Hagesy hit some amazingly long runs, including a blur>atomsmasher run that also included Pixie DLO!
Jesse was hitting Ripwalks out of Osis and was generally hitting huge tricks and sweet combos. I've not seen him play this well before and I'm in awe of his ability, knowing full well that there's more to come from him.
Caroline is still batteling illness, but still hit about 7 consecutive mirages and the odd pickup.
However, Hagesy has been a total mind fuck for me. I cannot believe that he's the same guy with the un-orthadox style from the BCS one year ago. He's Mr Consistancy and balanced in EVERYTHING he hits (except whirls) and left me with my mouth open and eyes bulging on many occasions through this weekend.

So, to rap it up... I'm exhausted.
The non-stop shred this weekend has definately helped MY game with my lengths and the opportunity to school the shit out of my basics.
Jesse is just getting better and I'm sure his head will swell just that little bit more to read this post, but then... he's put the hard yards in. He deserves props every now and again (maybe even the odd pat on the arse ).
Hagesy is a champ. Funny as hell and awesome to watch shred.
Caroline has had an awesome opportunity to advance her game too.
Now there's just next weekend.
But, to end on a sour note.
I tried calling Foxy on Friday night for our Southbank shred. I tried calling Foxy on Saturday, to remind him of the Sunday shred in Kedron (where he lives). I tried calling him on Sunday to find out what was happening. It wasn't untill about midday on Sunday that I finally get a text message saying "...got ur message. im gettin pissed watchin bathurst wont b playing today. have fun though."
I was disappointed that it took him that long to contact me, and that he couldn't be botherd to even come and say hello.
After the final demo, I took Hagesy and Jesse past his house and hit the horn both up, and down the street, past his house. Both guys were supprised as to how close he lived to the event and yet he didn't make an appearance.
It's the last time I invest any effort in keeping him in the game, and I'll not be dropping him home from the Monday night sessions anymore. If he wants to play, he's got to pull his finger out and make the effort. Caroline and I can always shred in at Southbank mid-week anyway.

Thats pretty much how the day went. I will maybe add a bit to it with some of the combos and stuff hit.
Through out the day, from what I can remember and what is worth a mention, here are some things:

Hagesy: blur>atomsmasher mid run, smear>dlo bsos, whirl, drifter, ducking clip, diving clip all bsos, datw(in)>DOD, a run with smear>smog, a run with bsos dimwalk and parkwalk on one side, a run with bsos ripwalk and blur, a huuuuge run with spinning clipper nearly bsos, pdx drifter off the foot 4 times in a row, smear>plo rpt midrun, stepping opp legover>magellan to start a run.

Gareth: Dimwalks everywhere in heaps of runs, symp whirl>osis (super clean), heaps of massive runs, quantum ss legover to start a run, magallen>smear>dimwalk to start a run, dimwalk>ducking osis

, ducking butter from toe mid run, really tight ducks and dives.

Myself: long shuffle runs, heaps of spinning, DDD mid run, blurriest to start a run, torque mid run about 10 times, blurry whirl BSOS (hit before), a run with a crap load of dlo stuff bs, dim>schmoe rpt to start a run, SOO close to spinning ducking butter BSOS but a little kid got in the way of the flipside

, atomic legover (eggplant?) mid run!!!, footed bsos legbeater, atomsmasher to start a run, lots of legbeaters to start runs, pixiessmirage b2b to start a run, blizzard>smudge nearly bsos and way bigger run lenght than normal. EDIT: I forgot, I hit my first pdx drifter

Caroline: SUPER CONTROLLED MIRAGES BS, a pickup earlier in the morning, atw off the foot bs, inside>clipper super sweet on her flip, wrap bsos, a whole lot of improvement all around. She was awesome with the kids/parents questions and stuff which made it sooooo much easier for Hagesy, Gareth and I to draw a bigger crowd. ALSO, she picked me up from the train station and made an awesome lunch

I swear I drank atleast 7L of fluid today yet my pee was still dark yellow and I hardly sweated

My flip pixies are also coming along thanks to Hagesy's inspiration. I'm actually kind of bummed that I wont be waking up tomorrow and heading in for another day of footbag but I don't think my legs would agree with that.

Hagsey, your an awesome fella and it was SO GOOD to play with you. Make sure you get your ass on down to Brizzy atleast once a month like you said. And far out your funny. I dont think I have laughed that much in a day before. Keep it up bro.

I might try for a mid-week session with Caroline. I've found a song that's a fraction over 2mins that I might consider using for a routine for the Nationals, so I'm keen to try it out and start working on it.

I will drill spins tonight, started to get the jist of it last night.

drilled spins for the first 20 mins. Hit 4 spinning clippers that looked just as smooth as jesses,

So i am starting to get the jist of it which is cool.

Nice vid! Vastly better than the last one, both in terms of level of shred as well as editing. Sounds like I may be meeting you guys later rather than sooner... but I`m really crossing my fingers I can meet you guys on this trip.

Anyway, thanks for the vid. I leave for Australia tomorrow, so seeing the scene showcased so nicely gets me stoked for the trip!

go atomic! I love atomic now. I have been doing it quite a bit latley. Also I have been schooling my drifters. They are getting pretty consistent and I can nearly hit them b2b! I have "battle of the talents" on this friday. I have kind of sorted out a routine but Im still gonna be nervous. I will get it filmed so you'se can see me win.

I hit a massive clipper/spinning/osis run today. I reckon it would have cleared 30 contacts easy.

I bet no-one new it was Gareth's birthday yesterday.... sneaky bugger.

Today was sweet. It was kinda boring up until the arvo where we met this other school who was touring round brissie. Im in the string on somble and there were these other two chicks. I was like "Im gonna do it for hagesy and tune them". So later on I chatted to em for a bit and got both of these chicks numbers and email addys.

good luck in your talent thingy contest.

I tried shreding for the 7th night in a row last night. Only played for 45 mins or so but every minute counts. I started playing at 10:30 after a tough match of squash. So i was pretty fucked. no challengers were hit. However when i was mid run i stacked it, rolled my ankle, quite funny really. My ankle is fine this morning. I will have to have 2 sessions on sunday to make up the piss weak session.

Here is my review of todays demo:

15th October 2005

Got to the train station around 1:15 only to find that the next train was to leave at 1:37. Get on the train and I hear "this train will terminate at murrarrie station. There will be an express bus going from murrarrie to the city or different buses going to south bank, yadda yadda yadda". This meant that I was gonna be even later.

So I get off the bus at Roma Street station and go back two stops to Southbank. Gareth took his sisters directory out of the car so we stopped at mobil and got one only to find that the place was pretty much just around the corner. Gareth went halves on the deal of "2 red bulls for $6" and the lady knocked mine over so Gareth grabbed the "unshaken one" and said "thats yours Jesse" and walked out. Lol, smooth one. We rocked up at the place and the weather was looking a tad "iffy" and the rain was ready to come. Met up with the milo crew and pretty much got straight into it. The ground was un-even/bumpy grass but was managable. There were sketchy bands playing but the drummer kept a decent beat making it ok for shredding to. Some stuff hit was:

some average tuning by a bunch of "groupies" a bit young for me. (on camera) -for hagesy aswell

As the day went on we got some other kids joining in. There was this one kid, evertime he kicked the bag he would fall over. It was confusing, yet amusing and annoying. He also couldnt get it through his head that you werent supposed to self serve. There was also another youngin with his fly un-done. I said to Gareth "check it out, his flys un-done, shall we tell him?" Gareth: "NUP" LOL. I couldnt bare watching it and I didnt know how to tell him so I asked Gareth. Jesse: "how should I tell him?" Gareth: "there is really no subtle way to do it is there.." Jesse: "maybe I can clipper over there and then "drop" the bag and tell him on the way down to picking it up" That was my plan which I followed through with. The kid went bright red. It was funny as. There was also this mega short dude who just had so much more co-ordination than any of the other kids. He was pulling of 4 or 5 controlled kicks with out too much hassle. There were some hot as chicks all around the place. That was cool. Oh geez that guy was retarted. Lol, he just kept falling over.

. It started to get a bit windy and later on in the arvo and Gareth finished up. I kinda kept kicking for a bit getting the odd person coming up and saying "very good" or giving a nice compliment. The event was bigger than I thought it would be. Gareth gave me a lift home and we pumped some shred tunes for the drive.
Phat day.
Go and go and go with milo. Lol.

Edit: I got Gareth back for the shaken red-bull incident.
I had some gum and asked him if he wanted a piece...he replied "yeah, just a sec" (he was changing his shirt). I saw a packet of his gum sitting in the cup holder and offered that to him when he got in the car
