Drum n' Bass, Jungle

Post by Slowsis »

Does anyone on this form go to jungle parties or consider themselves a "Junglist". Just wondering what kinda scenes the footbag community has infiltrated. :D

Are you Going???
I see a couple Dj's on there that have come to Toronto (North Americans capital of Drum n' Bass).

I saw Marky a few moths ago......and on July the first i saw Micky Finn.

Anyone else ever even been to a jungle party?

How big is the scene over there? I know its huge in the UK but other than that i have no idea about the Jungle scene in Europe.

Not in Canada! There are HUGE (1000 plus people) parties every weekend. I saw Kenny Ken a couple days ago.

word, jungle is going strong here in winnipeg as well. i'd honestly say jungle is more popular than dnb, breaks, or even trance here. toronto's got the biggest jungle/dnb parties in NA for sure. i'm yet to go to one, but perhaps the next tourny in t.o. adam will take me out to party. i wouldn't call my self a junglist per say, i just dig anything with a break beat in it, so jungle is one of my fave genres.

oh and hands down my favorite jungle dj is Freaky Flow. i still listen to obscene underground on a weekly basis, and the envy was the hackrifice shred album for summer 2004 - spring 2005. i do however hate MC Flipside WITH A FIREY FLAMING PASSION!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really like liquid. Calibre, London Elektricity and High Contrast have been my favorites as far as that goes for a while. Basically anything off Hospital.

Do you like Congo Natty, Andrew? They have a few cuts that are really good.

you should check out PSYCHOFREUD when you like some ragga jungle.

i do like congo natty, but after some time it´s a bit boring and too soft. psychofreud pulls out some hard basslines combined with progressive drums. yummy!!
it´s my favourite cd in my car nowadays!

dnb and jungle hit me so fucking hard.

They are the only style of music that has anywhere near the power that heavy metal has.
