Does your partner play Footbag?

Post by Si_iS_High »

Just curious to see if ya get your girlfriend/boyfriend into the sport.

I'm trying to get my girl into it :-) today she broke her kicks record! 6! heheheh. She has problems with catching it all the time, so I made her run to a post every time she caught it  Good method.

I try to make it fun for her too(by giving her missions like "you must kick it twice on your left foot" and such) Plus I give her heaps of props so she feels good. A while ago she was put off because her ego was a little hurt when her friend bet her record of 5 really easily :P

Once she has kicking controll I will work on the stalls.

Once Emily admits it to herself, I will answer 'Yes' to this poll.

i think the 'im single' option could unearth an ugly truth regarding footbaggers in general

ROFL!

Katie won't touch the thing :(. Although I recently found out that when we started dating she secretly practiced at home everynight and managed to get toe stalls on both feet pretty good! She's lovely :D.

I've gotten her to kick with me a few times... maybe she will become a good hack partner ;).

Asia plays footbag, but she hasn't as many trainings as I, because of no time :(. Inspite of that I'm proud she plays my game ;). In few weeks I'll try to make video with us playing footbag.

My girlfriend likes to grab my bag all the time, but she never really uses her feet.

Joan (Sailing Gyro Pickup) is an English equivalent to Polish name Asia. Same as Michael = Michal in Poland. It's really cool you remember the story of my trick :P.

My girlfriend's into it, and CAN play, but doesn't. She doesn't shred, but she can do a handful of 2s. I will get her into it again. I need someone to teach.

My girlfriend will happily circle-kick and do some passing with me, but isn't interested in freestyle.

I'm single too.

Here's a question to those of you who have parteners that do play.

Do you ever feel like you're loosing something of the game by having your partener there? Does it stop feeling like an escape from the world when you play and your partener is there? I enjoy playing footbag because I can forget my life and just play and it's because of that, that I've never really acted upon the feelings I had for a girl who was starting to play.
Comment in the BCS blog if you feel the need to.

She's not really my "partner" (all though I wish so badly that she was    )

but my really close "girl" friend (who is going out with my bestfriend who back stabbed me for her...the bastard) kicks with me every week which is pretty cool :D

She's pretty new but she's interested...and it gives me a time to hang out with her

Not me. I enjoying being with my girlfriend all the time. She's one of my closest friends. So it's just like playing with any one of my other friends, except I think she's hot. Plus she is pretty good. She can hit all the basic 2's pretty consistently, so it's not like she bugs anyone because she can't play.

I would much rather play with my girlfriend then play alone, that's for sure and it's that much better when she comes to play with all of us guys.

Yeah, I get so stoked when my girlfriend actually plays. It's super fun to watch her hit new tricks and combos and teaching her how to hit even more! She played a bit at the Hackrifice tournament, but I ran away to play with my guests. I guess it's different between playing just the two of us and playing with others; it's a different groove, but it's just as fun or even more fun with just her :)

Do your partners enjoy playing footbag? I guess my question is, would they play/skool by themselves or with others even if you're not playing?

Yup. Her little face lights up with a big smile when she does well. But on the other side of the coin she can hiff the bag and get quite frustrated when doing not so well

No way. But I'm hoping once she gets to a certain level she will want to herself.

believe it or not, i'm single. very single. painfuly and crushingly single. i think the saddest part about the situation is that i had no feelings of longing for a partner untill i got injured and couldn't play footbag. footbag absolutly killed my sex drive!!!! maybe i won't start kicking again after i heal up... :?

Funny thing, I circle kick with a lot of lesbians at my college whom I'm really good friends with. All of which aren't interested in freestyling. I'm kind of disappointed in not being able to start a relationship with them, but a guy like myself can only dream sometimes. Plus, I don't want to start a drama like "Chasing Amy" as though I was Ben Affleck. :P

Although, there are some shreditas that I wish I can start a relationship with, but they seem to be living a few states away from NYC. Nope, no hope for me to getting footbag and a relationship into one mix anytime soon. :?
