Dude, whirling swirling rooted mirage would be sick. i wanna see it at KICKASS!

By the way, ill be taking my car up to KICKASS. Not much sense in driving to rochester, because its not much of a shorter drive then Kingston. ill be leaving miday on friday, so i should be to Tom's house around 6 or 7. depending on if i skip my last class or not. i don't think i really need to be there. anways, ill see you guys there!

To make up for not being able to go to KICKASS I decided to get some schooling in at my room. Managed some decent strings, and some new moves.

lots of flip blenders... they're easier and look better than strong side...
weaving osis - bsos (first time hitting it on both sides)
toe set DLO bsos
blur > paradon > blur (working on the flip paradon still, its getting there)
dyno > barfly
pdx barage
reaper
clip set nova :D been trying this one way too long.

(edit) forgot a few things

a bunch of flip pixie stuff

a couple of decent strings

atomic reverse whirling rake

a couple of decent attempts at phasing revup, i think i can hit this this weekend.

flip pdx dlo
stepping diving clipper
flip neo ss mirage
flip neo butterfly
flip pixie ss illusion
flip outside set pixie mirage
flip outside set pixie ss mirage
barfly > pdx dlo > ducking butterfly (cool lil 4>4>4)
ended with my first 5>5>5 sumo > phoenix > tomahawk

Nice fearless combo Aric, especially the first link!

So went KICKASS. I can't really type some big review right now, but Tom put together a really great event. And then I smashed his bong. He was understanding of my drunken clumsiness, and we worked out a deal. I get a knuckle sandwich and my first born will be named after him (check your paypal too). Maybe I'll write more later.

Today I had my first session with my old new Felix, and my new Lesh bag. I hit:
Rubberman 2, second try of the day
Ripped>Ripped, starting on each foot
drifter caught on dragon
10 atomsmashers
far swirl bsos

I had that empty feeling yesterday that you get after going to the last footbag tourney of the season. I wanted to, like, live at KICKASS until CP comes around to start off the next year of footbag. But with my sweet new 32's, it ain't so bad. I've got a lot of work to do by the end of the year.
Goals include: Getting better at a lot of concepts that I have ignored. Mostly double down, dlo, egg, symple/far swirl, spinning ducking, furious, quantum, twirl, shuffle with illusions, PS WHIRL, and lots more. So watch out!

I think we should put together a big session here in NY within the next couple months. RFA and Pat Thomsen and Embassy and others could pick a mutually accessible spot and shred all day. Maybe over Thanksgiving break or something.

btw, props on the tricks chris! 10 atosmashers is sick, and that drifter to dragon rocks. You gotta start hitting ruberman every day, remember?

yeah, I came up with a drills list awhile back, it was about 10 semi-easy drills that I was supposed to hit every day, and it included just about every concept I know. It had stuff like

spinning clip>ducking clip rpt
drifter>whirl rpt
torque>infinity rpt
ripwalk>sidewalk rpt
Rubberman
et cetera

So for awhile I at least tried to hit Rubberman and all those other drills everyday, but gradually moved away from doing drills altogether. Now that it's kinda the off-season, I should come up with an improved list. Thanks for reminding me Josh. I'll have to put some thought into what concepts and links need work.
I am going to try to hit Rubberman 2 at least 5 days a week for a few weeks, until it becomes easy. That would be the most awesome thing ever.

I'm up for shred in NY. If anyone's interested, the Cornell Jugglefest is November 11-13 in Ithaca (http://www.rso.cornell.edu/cjc/festival/). Its about 2 hours from Rochester and 3 from Albany. I think it would be sweet if there was some footbag there. They have open gym time reserved all three days. Only things that suck are that Ithaca's a little out of the way for everyone, and I'm basically the only one here who plays.

Ithica isn't to far away. i have a friend who goes to school there. there was a really sick show i wanted to go to on november 11th though. It would be sick to shred a tthe jugglign fest though. Ill see if ill have the sufficient funds...KICKASS put me in the hole...waaay in the hole.

I beat the shit out of Darwin chris!

I'm definitely up for a NY shred session. I'd prefer it not to be during a break since I'll be at home, and won't feel like driving too far from Gouverneur.

Hour session in my room tonight with some pretty cool new stuff. Didn't really school anything too much just messed around for a lil workout.

parkwalk > DLO (rpt)
dimwalk > pdx DLO (rpt)
pdx whirl x3
drifter matador > BOP run
osis > pdx tap

whut up footblog!!! I just bought new shoes!!!

Image

booyah, new climas!!!! yesss!!! pricey !!! :D but worth it. I tried the toe material mod like paul does. It definitely helped, but those shoes aren't for me. They need someone with a more precise toe stall or something like that... anyone in the club want to buy either pairs of mine? who's got $10 for a pair of clima responses? I've got 2! ;)

also, my phone has been like this since long before worlds.

Image

poor phone, I just thought you guys might enjoy that.

I was toying with a new move the other day, dynoing symp whirl, done all as one motion, behind the back. I used to picture this kind of move back in the day, but I never tried it. Then, Jorden actually started *doing* this kind of thing, but he won't beat me to this one. I swear it! Then, I'll try grab your balls and squeezing symp whirl. A lot easier than food processoring symp whirl, as the second and third dexes can kinda be done at once. I dunno, we'll see what happens. my imagination goes a lot farther than my legs...

Can't wait to see everyone again soon, I had a great time at KICKASS!
