Today i kicked with the group again. I really like kicking with the group but it has some negatives to it. It's great when you want to learn new things but when you want to drill other weaker things its kind of annoying in group. So again i didn't really progress today and spent most of the time trying weird shit. We did kick with matt though (the original founder of the UW Club) and he was pretty damn good, not will good but fantastic dragons. The dragon ripwalk was crazy....he didnt hit it but he was close...(i guess he has before). Will went and yelled at some guy preaching on the street and we decided as a collective group to come up with nonsensical questions to ask him. Feel free to post some on here. I'll give an example:

"Can god make a rock so heavy that even I couldn't drink it?"

Details of a Session with Mike H., Henry G., Will R., and Ogden K.

Here goes. So i headed out to library mall at 1240 cause that's when Henry said to meet him (he didn't show up til 1 that insensitive jerk :x just kidding Henry) So it hits 1pm (our scheduled time to kick and no sign of Mike so Henry checks to try and find him like 3 times or so. Anyway a good session, a long session.
Hits:
Dimwalk BSOS
Spinning Clipper BSOS
Dimwalk>Ripwalk

and some other things to try

Ducking butterfly back and forth and continuous ripwalks

Overall it was a 3+ hours session and it was alot of fun. I hadn't met Mike
Hansen until today although i saw him kick at last winter's chicago mayor dalys jam. So i learned alot about sets and after the super long sesh in which all of us ROCKED especially rockey damn that kid's runs look amazing to me, anyway i digress, AFTERWARD i went and got some chinese food with Mike which was awesome cause i didn't realize it was the place that i passed out fliers for until we got there so i totally got an 8 dollar meal for FREE. Good chat, Good Shred, Good Food, Awesome people to kick with all of em. I had a fantastic time, i'm sure henry's blog has even more details if you want some.

I kicked for one hour today and it was the most productive hour of footbag i've EVER HAD IN MY ENTIRE LIFE

Here's a list of the awesomeness of my flipside drill day:

Flipside Ripwalk (FINALLY HOLY CRAP)

Ripwalk BSOS (woah)

Ripwalk>Ripwalk( Record is 2 but now i can finally challenge WILL HA HA!)

Flipside Torque

Torque BSOS

Phoenix mid-run (Was a challenge, combo was butterfly>pdx mirage>Phoenix>far osis)

Schmoe ( Stepipng Legover ) (Both Sides)

Blur ( Stepping Mirage ) (Strong Side)

Sidewalk ( Both Sides)

Smudge (flipside, finally)

The only reason this is so amazing to me is that it was ONE HOUR of kicking and i've been trying to hit ripwalk and torque flipside for ages. I hope someone is still reading this blog cause i'm super excited and want to share with someone. This is the first time i've kicked by myself in awhile and it only furthers my theory that i improve more when i kick by myself so i think i'm gonna trim back on my group seshes during the week.
:?

I'm gonna kick with rockey and friends later for a bit i believe, but not long cause i have a study group, i hope i can get my strength back to show off some of my new stuff. :D

READ MY BLOG 8O

Oh and a note of things to try at a later time:
Haze
Stepping Eggbeater (Stepping DLO )
Stepping Osis
Swirl
Fog (Stepping Paradox DLO)
Bedwetter (Stepping Pdx Eggbeater)
Gravedigger (Stepping Torque)

While I'm glad you're improving, it kinda sucks that you're getting down all my moves but I'm not really learning anything new.... Not a lot of time to work on atomic set. :( You're gonna rock me at Thanksgiving Jam (the marshfield footbag event everyone's talking about).

Well today i decided to cram in a 2 hour session.....and i did it!

I hit some new stuff i'll list quickly for self interest and then i'll get into the JUICY STUFF BUWAHAHA:

blur (flipside)
Ripwalkx3 (Yesssss)
Sidewalk (flipside)
Pixie Firefly (Booyakasha, i got it Henry)

Oh and i forgot about my ROTD's so i'm gonna revive it! here goes:

ROTD: Ripwalk>Ripwalk> pdx Mirage> Dimwalk > far legover > osis> far osis> far osis> far osis

That's like...29 adds (not that i'm counting :? )

As for personal life i was up til 3 am last night playing cards. Egyptian rakgah (sp?). Anyway there's a bunch of rules and you slap the pile. I won't go into too many details but lets just point out one rule. If you slap the pile and nothing's there, and you have no cards an article of clothing comes off. Few things are more akward than playing a card game in the den with a bunch of people sitting in your boxers. My study group last night was SHIT, it was student led and there was nothing to study Hurrah! Today i recognized one of the girls from the study group in a different class so i introduced myself and she was really nice. It's just she was really quiet so i missed like half of the conversation and did the ol' Head bob. I think she said her name is Chris 8O hopefully she said crystal. I participated in class twice today, both times because i was absolutely sure of myself. AND IN BOTH INSTANCES BOTH PROFESSERS SAID I WAS WRONG AND DUMBED I DOWN. I was mad for like 10 seconds....those bastards and their boring power lectures. Study session tonight for a different class and then hopefully a movie (corpse bride) and Cards! Sorry to go into detail but now there's something for everyone! :D

No posting yesterday because i had a psych Exam today. This was my first college exam so you know....i was freaking a little bit.

Let us begin with yesterday. It was pouring so i skipped a poli sci lecture and slept in order to catch up with my much needed restoration. Well then ogden gave me a call and i guess the crew was shredding! So i moved (as fast as i could i swear) and got out there half an hour later. I don't remember much of what i hit but i did hit Blizzard(strong side) and if i recall i hit Dimwalk>Spinning Butterfly. I was only out there for about an hour or so cause everyone else had been kicking for awhile...sorry hombres.

Well today was my psych exam. I woke up and felt well prepared..that is until i fell back asleep. Yeah so instead of having a good breakfast i had a poptart as i bolted 5 blocks to my psych exam. My clock was wrong and i was 10 minutes early. Anyway the exam was not bad at all. I went through and the only the ones i knew for sure first and found that i knew i had 50/65 of them correct. Then the other 15 are educated responses but not correct for sure. So i'm extremely confident i did well.

In honor of my hard work i am having a party with myself right now. I'm getting groovy and skanking around my room (go ska!). Footbag later perhaps...if it's good i'll talk about it :D

So i finished up my day by kicking for three hours!....i really improved my stepping set and not much else :(

consistancy overall with everything got alot better and i hit spinning butterfly and spinning clipper BSOS. Not the same string though....as in....the sp butterfly was BSOS and the Spinning clipper was BSOS. Met two cool cats who seemed interested so i invited them to show up friday. Hopefully we'll try our sly hand (feet?) at street preforming (W/O a permit! 8O )

Sorry to hear you're injured, but I hope you get better soon. Any funny story associated with the bruised/swollen middle finger?

I'm sad cause i got a C on my first exam, but there was a curve and really stupid questions such as "at what point in the lecture did i mention this word"

Anyway, good news from the world of footbag

Improved stepping/pogo set

almost hit Blur BSOS

Hit Pdx Whirl and Pixie Whirl on strong side

Hit smudge on flipside

I hit an amazing combo as well:

Eggbeater>Dimwalk

IT feels AMAZING going over the bag in one direction to stall it breifly and then set and dex back over in the opposite direction.

ROTD: Eggbeater>Dimwalk>Schmoe>Pixie Clipper>Ducking Clipper>Pdx Mirage>(Failed PLO)

I haven't kicked the past two days because of exams and the hockey game, WHICH WAS AMAZING 3-2 in overtime my voice is gone holy shit. Badgers over St. lawerence.

I have the full intent of kicking today but first let me boast of a good deed:

I walked a girl home half an hour away at 230 in the morning because girls shouldn't walk alone at night/early morning in madison. GO ME!

UPDATE YOUR GODDAMN BLOG... or I'll start updating it myself >8]

I'll start.

Today Peter and I went to Schnuck's (a grocery store) and bought brats and buns. We took them back to the grills behind the dorms and had a cookout-- just him and me. It was awesome. 5 brats for him, 5 for me. It took a while to cook them, but chilling beside a fire was a lot of fun too.

PUT THAT IN YOUR OWN BLOG YOU ASS!

heh just kidding sorry for the break but i bring good news! going back to working on tiltless, some spinning and hopefully someday...THE DRIFTER.

In other news i totally have a girlfriend now...boo...yah.

Sorry for the lack of posts but not too much interesting i suppose. Some rather adorable personal things but otherwise kind of bland.

In the world of footbag i've recently hit:
Assassin (Strong side)
Pixie Whirl (Strong side)
pdx whirl (strong side)

Woohoo, mainly just been improving combos and run strength..you all know how it is. Improvements are arriving daily and i am enjoying my liife to its fullest extent except my classes which are vaporizing me. Best of luck to all and i hope i can remember to update at least 4 days a week

Keeping with the comeback i kicked solo for the first time in like 2 weeks. HOORAY.

I worked on whirls for the first 20 minutes and really improved my flipside and hit BSOS whirl about 3 times. (3 different strings). Then i tried doing some BOP's and i ended up getting a 10 contact BOP run. Then progressing onward i hit 5 ducking clippers! woohoo!

To top off the progress i figured i'd try Atomic set. Much to my suprise i hit it on my strong side. I also proceeded then to hit Legbeater multiple times and Tapping mirage a bunch of times.

Then i remembered i was still working on drifters flipside (DER) so i went to try them. Well on my second try i took a horrible landing and we'll just say i ended my session a little early. Icepack on it now and hoping all goes well.

Met a few new people today one who said he actually owns lavers and used to be really into footbag so hopefully he comes back to the game. He didnt stay long but he could do clippers well so i'd like to see how awesome he really is.

That's all from Mad Town. Peace.

What is this crap...did i seriously just black out for four days!? Ah no...alas footbag is going well. I have worked on whirls very hard and i can hit whirl>whirl both sides and i even managed a dimwalk>whirl on strong side.

Now for the other news :x

I was SUPPOSED to go to a dropkick murphys concert on this upcoming monday but my professors had another idea. Hey lets give him 2 exams the day after the concert. HELL YEAH, and we'll spread them out one in the morning one in the afternoon. *grumbles*

Life goes on though. On friday i get out of class to read and the see the big parade where i get to watch will rockey juggling torches and i get to tell everyone that i know that guy. Then it's out to wherever with whomever. The rest of the weekend is sure to be a blur as well with plenty of reading and other assorted activities. :D
