Footbag Philosophy

Post by lurko »

First off, please read this little text.

In September 2005 I saw an ad in the Offline (Hungarian Xtreme Mag) about an "Xsport Amateur Film and Photography Meeting" (I can't translate it exactly, just call it XAFT). You could send films to this "Festival" about any extreme or strange sports. We made a video, sent to them and made to the finals with it (yeah! :) ). This final ceremony was held this Sunday in Budapest at a cinema (~ 500 seats).
There were two categories:
- about 5 min vids (we applied to this)
- about 25 min vids.
There were 6 videos in the 'short film' finals, but only 3 were screened. Thanks God, one of these 3 videos was ours.
Finally we placed 3rd.
Why is it important?
1. Because this event was sponsored by Oakley, Sprite, Adio, Eastpak, Av control (?), Offline. We hope we can now find sponsors for our events (sunshred footbag open) easier.
2. This was a good chance to make footbag known in Hungary.

Enjoy!

That video was flippin awesome :D The editing was top class, one of the best edited footbag videos I have seen, and the shred was super cool :D, I love how u got the drifters and spinning clips to time with the music like that, looked so cool! Really good video all round, top quality :D, thanks for the high quality version aswell, I love high qual videos :D.

Awesome video! I must say the best part was the sound track...A Tribe Called Quest is the shit. Great editing that matched up beautifully with the music.

Not so much an amazing shred video (since in some parts you couldn't even see the footbag/the entire player) but just a superb video in general.

Great job, thanks for sharing.

I liked the slow-motions and the shred was also very nice.

Which programs did you use? And what about the fish-eye-lens?

Thanks.

video was edited with Vegas 5.

we used panasonic cameras (dont know what models exactly - 800k pixel), and raynox qc-505 and qc303 semi-fisheye lens attachments.

thanks for the comments! i'm glad you liked the vid.

Congratulations on representing footbag so well... You did a huge pice of very good work!

Shots are great, editing is genuine, and shred is good. Everything goes well in this movie.

This is a very well produced video!!!

It has been nursed from the beginning to the end and it really shows. So many details have been balanced right that it gets close to perfection. Thanks for putting the extra effort in there and keep producing shred videos.

Damn that was good. The part with the Drifters slowed down to the Beat was the best editing I've seen in a long time.

Cool Music.

Good use of slow motion.(I usually hate slow motion)

Good Camera Angles.

Nice short shreds before switching views. I like the frequent view changes.
