How you ruined your footbag.....?!

Post by Sidi||TOFU »

I was wondering if anyone had any "i lost my footbag while..." or "my footbag was destroyed during...." stories.

I work at the Rogers Wireless Call Centre (a mobile company for those abroad) and I take *611 calls. During my shifts, I will practice toe stalls and clippers while sitting at my desk. Today, I destroyed my footbag while doing clippers :( I launched the footbag up onto my desk into a bowl of soup I was eating at my desk!!! The smell of beef noodle soup has taken over my footbag which drowned.....! The worst part was I couldn't react since I was talking to a customer...I cursed under my breath....!

oh man.. that sucks!! is it still playable even after the soup bath?

i have a good story.
we were playing at school and theres time cement wall with a shed(the little metal ones) behind it.
It was a nice circle but one of my friends decided to do a sorta pendulum or something like that but it went behind him, over the wall and behind the shed.
or so we though... theres a little vent on the back of the shed, but no bottom to it so the footbag fell exactly in a 2inch/2inch hole strait down in the shed. :s

i mean it was IN the wall. we woulda had to unscrew it all to get the footbag out. oh well. i made another one the next day. :s

one time in school, i tore the cover off a school book to aid in removing my bag from the toilet. thats how i managed to avoid losing my footbag :)

its funny...i always seem to get mine stuck in ridiculous places (similar to what pete was saying...hacky slackers booting it onto a roof or ledge, etc), but i always manage to climb wherever to get it. the way i always lose bags is just by doing stupid stuff.
case in point=most recent bag i lost was because i had just finished stitching it while riding the subway and i fell asleep with it on my lap for like 10 minutes, and forgot about it when i woke up, stood up, and left the train. never even got to try it

yo von douche, i have a plethora of ryan seaths mr sandmans in my room. i will sell you one for 50 dollars cause that stupid and ugly von douche thinks i am selling them for ten bucks a pop. then i can make a 40 dolla profit and support my drinking habits.

wait im not a capitalist, you can have it for 10 bucks. ill just mooch booze from you and mike.

ive only ever had 2 bags that went awry. the first was a mosher bag that fell apart on me (it was poorly constructed and was one his very first). the second was another mosher bag (that was really pretty and good compartively). unfortunately, that bag got stolen by some spectator at tofujam! i am 0-2 with 32s so now i just stick to sandmans...

ps. get seath to make you a banner like he and i have.... isnt mine fucking cool?

I will adopt a footbag :) As long as the proceeds go back to the community.

Haha I have a lot of these war stories. When I used to hack, before I got into freestyle, we played in Dupont Circle Park. The park was surrounded by these thick, bristly bushes. So like every month or so someone would kick it way up high and into the bushes. Sometimes we'd find the hack on top of the bushes, or sometimes underneath. But sometimes, I swear man those bushes ATE the hack! One time we even took a hatchet to em cuz we'd lost a pretty decent one and we still couldn't find it.

Thankfully all my moves are controlled now that I'm a freestyler and I don't go kicking it into the bushes anymore. Muhuhuhahaha

Yeah I did clean it and managed to salvage it enough to be able to play with it until I replace it. It is reaching a sandless point and the smell still haunts me.

Think before you shred. It is wise to locate hazards near your place of shred. Back when I kicked hackey-sack, I lost a bag down a storm drain. I've also been known to send bags onto roof tops. But they were both sepa bags, so it's not like it was that big of a loss. It did teach me a valuable lesson.
