Ben. Stop.

Gay people ARE NOT GETTING HURT by having sex with others of the same gender.

Little kids ARE GETTING HURT by getting raped by older men with age preference. If people have "age preferences" then they are pretty much fucked. no pun intended.

see, being gay, you CHOOSE your partner. Your partner CHOOSES you.

Being an old fat bald guy you CHOOSE your victim. Your victim is TRAUMATIZED and wont live a normal life.

There are like.... 6 or 7 gay kids in my school. I only have a problem with 1 of them. His name is dominique and he is just... tooooo open with it. He grabs other guys. Although they just ask him to stop he wont. Its more like sexual harrassment than the whole "He's gay" thing.

he came up to me and said "You wanna spank me?" i just said no and walked away.

Ben, you are wrong in thinking that being gay is wrong. I know you dont hate gay people, but seriously. It isnt their choice. You cant understand it because guess what, YOU WERENT BORN GAY. Homosexuals are born that way, and they are the only ones who truly understand why they are gay.

Done.

Not to stir up anything, but Henry, you thinking I'm wrong in thinking being gay is wrong, is wrong. We could go on forever with this and it doesn't accomplish anything.

I don't understand why people get so emotional about what other people (me specifically) "think". Maybe it's because they don't know that I seperate people from their actions/thoughts/etc.

This is how I see it:

Everyone I've met has done things that I think are wrong, including myself. But does that make me think they are a bad person or treat them any differently? No!
I think every "wrong" is equal. So, if someone is gay, an alcoholic, a liar, a theif, a murderer or a rapist....even if someone murders the ones close to me, I will not stop treating them with love. Yes, even if someone murders my whole family and burns my house down, I will still forgive them and treat them with love. Do I think there shouldn't be consequences for that person? No, consequences help us realize what is wrong, but I won't stop loving the person. If you want to discuss this with me more, you all are more than welcome to pm me, but this will (hopefully ) be my last post in this thread.

This is a discussion section and if you know me, you know I love to discuss things, but I know it's just discussion. If someone says I think people with brown, curly hair (what I have) are stupid, I won't take it personally or get emotional. I would disagree with them and tell them why, but they are entitled to their opinion, as am I.

If you think that I'm ignorant, biggoted, moronic, etc. because I think being gay is wrong, so be it. But know that in the end, what we think about minor social issues doesn't hold much weight. What really matters is how we treat others.

I would personally kill them....but thats just me.
BTW How can you state that this is an equal "wrong" to homosexuality?

Exactly - and your religion has a very very bad track record in regards to how it treats people of particular sexuality. Obviously you can't generalis amongst Christians anymore than you can amongst athiests but the treatment of other religions and of people deemed in some manner to be "sinners" by Christianity is one of the specific reasons why I agree with Denis Diderot's famous quote about religion and why I am so opposed to that religion. Actions speak a lot louder than words.

Ben, I understand what you are saying completely. I still disagree with you. Thoughts like yours are very limiting to the freedoms of other people. If a vote came up in your area to allow gay marriages with all the same rights and privileges afforded heterosexual couples, how would you vote? I would like to think that you are one of the few with the views you have that would vote to allow equal rights. However, most people with your views would be highly unlikely to vote for equal rights when they disagree with homosexuality.

lol Jewish people used to think people born blind were wrong and their blindness was a condemnation by god, I guess now it's the christians with homosexuality.

But whatever, if the big treehouse in the sky has a door that says no gays allowed, then I guess they'll have to go make their own tree house.

The religion has zero track record in how it treats anyone. Literature is not a force which can act on it's own. People are the ones who may have treated other people differently, but the religion itself is an inanimate object which throughout history people have used both for good and bad.

Just like a lot of things in life, religion used as a tool has the power to uplift people, as well as oppress them. But it requires a human to enact this power. Therefore your complaint should be with individuals who have misused the religion.

Josh. Your logic is a bit flawed. As much as I love gay guys, more gay guys does not mean more women for them heteros. It's more like the same amount of women. And maybe they get like pimped or are Mormon or Hindu or something and can be wed to the same guy...etc.

Despite disliking beating the dead horse (~4 months since last reply 2 posts before Josh), in the spirit of continuing the discussion, homosexual people are fine. Hell. Everyone's fine as long as they don't hurt me.

Hmm. I need to befriend one of these supposedly gay guys. And a netgoth and a LARPer. Also need to find an intelligent emo who realizes that they aren't masochistic and cutting themselves to confrom is stupid.

>_>. So many things to do.

i don't mind gay people at all, but i don't think they should be able to get married, and although my religion (Catholicism) says that gays are not allowed and that it is sinning, i disagree with that, just because your gay doesn't make you a bad person

Great thread to bring back to life.

That criagslist "open letter..." was great too.

Because we KNOW, every straight person should feel guilty, because they are a homophobic, violent gay-beater ....... or wants to be.
